ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to achieve the highest level of quality, safety and effectiveness to maximize equipment availability of plant equipment at the lowest optimum sustainable maintenance cost in compliance with health and safety as well as environmental rules and regulations. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Analysis of data collected, completed work orders, and process data in order to initiate appropriate maintenance work orders which include a detailed scope of work.
Non-systematic inspections (repetitive problems, validate work requests, daily incidents).
Familiar with precision maintenance technologies such as laser alignment and dynamic balancing.
Comfortable, at a hands on level, with welding techniques and practices for industrial equipment.
Tracking, analysis, and recommendation for equipment performance, cost, and life.
Providing direction to the maintenance and purchasing groups regarding technical purchases and equipment selection.
Ensuring inventory and source of spare parts are consistent with plant equipment reliability and economic constraints.
Ensure implementation of equipment modification and maintenance projects with respect to costs and schedule.
Participate in and lead problem-solving task forces as required.
Improve plant mechanical and infrastructure equipment in order to meet or exceed plant reliability and production targets.
Provide technical support for plant activities and the maintenance functions.
Report all accidents/incidents ensuring follow-up as per the company procedure.
Directing of contractors in all areas of plant maintenance as required.

We're seeking an experienced Installation & MaintenanceManager to lead and coordinate day-to-day field operations for our Palmdale fiber network maintenance program. This role manages installation and maintenance crews, oversees ticket dispatch and resolution through the Network Operations Center (NOC), and ensures all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead installation and maintenance activities including residential, MDU, and commercial fiber installations.

Supervise technicians performing drop installation, splicing, ONT testing, router installation, and 811 locates.
Oversee maintenance and repair work related to city or utility projects and emergency restoration events.
Ensure compliance with contractual SLAs for response time, installation success rate, and documentation accuracy.
Review service credits, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective measures to improve operational KPIs.
Conduct site inspections, QA/QC audits, and ensure adherence to safety and branding standards.
Maintain coordination with city inspectors, the Owner's representative (SNO), and subcontractors for field activities.
Train and mentor crews to maintain readiness for same-day and next-day service repair tickets.
Support asset control, inventory tracking, and monthly reporting as required under contract.

QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience managing fiber installation or maintenance operations (residential, commercial, or MDU).
Strong understanding of fiber drops, ONT installation, splicing, and restoration procedures.
Familiarity with 811 locates, NOC coordination, and ticket-based service workflows (e.g., Jira, FSM).
Proven ability to meet service levels and manage crews under performance-based contracts.
Excellent documentation, safety compliance, and leadership skills.
Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
OSHA-30 certification preferred; Blue Badge or equivalent fiber certification a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct regular inspections of the facility buildings to detect and resolve problems
Schedule repair activities and assign repair tasks to maintenance staff
Provide maintenance team with all tools and supplies
Coordinates timely inspections from outside vendors for, preventative maintenance or repair of electrical equipment and mechanical systems not serviced internally
Implement maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and review annually
Assist Supervisor with evaluation of repair cost estimates and present options to management
Produce weekly progress reports including employee tracking to Maintenance Supervisor
Maintain stocking equipment, filters, general use stock items and order before needed
Assist other departments as necessary throughout the facility
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws
Ensures company premises and facilities are kept clean, including maintenance of parking area, buildings (including restrooms), fences, general maintenance, and storage areas
Provide guidance to effected staff regarding ongoing maintenance activities within specific departments
Ensure bottled drinking water is provided in all areas
