Job Summary:
PTC is seeking a Maintenance Manager with the primary responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the maintenance department of a production facility. Essential to the position is the organization and execution of a sound preventative maintenance program including all project work, internal and external building and grounds maintenance and machine repair. The successful candidate will work closely with the plant departments, Plant Operations, Safety Supervisor, and Quality Manager. The position reports to the Plant Manager. Successful candidate will oversee all required training for maintenance staff, work with outside vendors and provide support during production interruptions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Delegates responsibility for the direction, planning, and scheduling of Maintenance personnel and equipment on their shift in the most effective manner in order to provide for maximum utilization of personnel and equipment.
Studies production schedules and prepares estimates of worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Coordinates ordering of materials as required for timely completion of projects.
Checks work of personnel assigned to insure quality standards are being met and for timely completion of assignments.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the shop, department, and work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems as well as assists workers in solving work problems.
Maintains time and production records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate repairs with the activities of individual departments.
Keeps the Department Supervisor informed of any issues pertaining to quality and effectively recommends action to resolve or remedy such issues.
Coordinates with other supervisors to manage manpower and cover open jobs created by vacations or report-offs.
Counsels and disciplines as required in accordance with Company policies.

Qualifications

Facilities Maintenance and Repair
Take ownership of the appearance and operation of assigned campus.
Straighten and clean exterior signage as needed.
Pick up trash and empty trash barrels adjacent to athletic fields and parking lots.
Under the direction of the maintenance supervisor perform maintenance as needed by assigned campus administration.

Coordinate with head custodian of each campus as needed for after hour projects.
Assist the Energy Management team with insuring that your assigned building systems are shut down appropriately and orderly at the end of the day.
