Job Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Group Leader will be responsible for leading a group of Skilled employees to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and processes.
This role requires you to consistently administer National and Local Agreement between company and the United Auto Workers Union. The work is of a technical nature and requires you to use independent judgment within the limits of Global Manufacturing Systems, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to learn new skills as well as influencing the development of manufacturing processes to support this historical and game-changing progression to electric and autonomous vehicles.

• One year of direct team supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal per diem group leader
• Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
• Experience coordinating, managing, addressing performance concerns, and leading people in a fast-paced environment
• Experience solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, experience managing conflict and making decisions in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
• Basic computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, typing, email etc.)

The Service Manager is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day maintenance for the community. As a Service Manager, you will act as the coordinator and supervisor for the maintenance team regarding the delegation of work orders, turnovers, special projects, and time management.

Communication Skills:
Attend monthly QOS meetings with Manufacturing Manager.
Work with Plant Manager/Manufacturing Manager to schedule work to be done by maintenance crews on work days not scheduled for production.
Be responsible for all building maintenance. All work to be done by outside sources is to have the Plant Manager's approval to authorize the work to be done.
Perform electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic modifications on tools when required.
When work load demands or during slow periods, and upon instructions from the Manufacturing Manager perform the duties of any position qualified for.

Maintain unscheduled maintenance downtime below the expected goal as set forth by the Manufacturing Manager.
Maintain computerized MaintenanceManagement Software on machine repairs and P/M.
Maintain department budget and cost control.

Be an active member of the safety team.

Supervisory Responsibility- Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. In the event that this position becomes vacant, the Manufacturing Manager will resume responsibilities.
Environmental Responsibility- Functions as a member of the cross functional team. Initial Universal Waste training required. Maintain a high standard for housekeeping and organization. Provides OJT to personal where appropriate.
