Direct Reports: Maintenance Technicians (multi-shift) Janitor Requirements Technical/Operational Implement controls to reduce downtime and improve quality and delivery. Automation & Control Systems Manage PLC programming and diagnostics, robotic systems, VFDs, and relay-based controls. Mechanical Rebuilds & Alignment Oversee alignment tasks and mechanical rebuilds (bearings, pulleys, sheaves, motors, gearboxes). Utilities & Equipment Support Maintain plant utilities-air, water systems, HVAC, Ovens, detectors, analyzers, etc. Collaborate with operations teams to assess and ensure system reliability. Occasionally engage in hands-on troubleshooting and repairs. Utilize and manage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule, track, and optimize maintenance activities. Preventive Maintenance Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and checklists. Ensure rapid response to emergency maintenance needs. Manage parts inventory, tools, and maintenance resources efficiently using CMMS tools. Continuous Improvement Analyze equipment performance and recommend process improvements. Drive initiatives that enhance equipment efficiency and system upgrades. Safety and Environmental Promote and uphold safety protocols and compliance with regulations. Lead safety training and awareness initiatives. Financial Management Prepare and manage maintenance budgets. Monitor costs, identify variances, and propose corrective actions. Support capital project planning and budgeting. Leadership Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching. Ensure team accountability, morale, and performance standards. Partner with plant leadership to support operational goals and improvements. Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance or Engineering. 5+ years of maintenance leadership in a manufacturing environment. Experience in glass fabrication or similar industry preferred. Strong hands-on technical skills across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Proven ability to manage teams and communicate across departments. Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations. Strong problem-solving and project management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) License required or the ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame. Experience with CMMS software required. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Frequent walking/standing in a manufacturing environment with mechanical equipment.
