Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the optimal performance of plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production efficiency.
Job Location
This is an onsite position located in Middlefield, OH.
Job Responsibilities
Maintains safe working conditions and drives a safety-first mindset, especially as it relates to working on equipment and using tools and machinery.
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts.
Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for injection molding machines, robotics, chillers, dryers, and other related equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance technical skills and promote a culture of accountability.
Manage maintenance budgets and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and equipment.
Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical schematics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will direct the foreman that have working supervision of the Trade & Craft and other maintenance employees. Maintain data integrity of the maintenance ERP system information. Create and maintain reports to monitor KPI's develop improvement plans. Conduct weekly planning meetings with other department managers. Adhere to PM schedules or create new as necessary. Ensure best practices between supervisors on all shifts and departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Delegates responsibility for the direction, planning, and scheduling of Maintenance personnel and equipment on their shift in the most effective manner in order to provide for maximum utilization of personnel and equipment.
Ensure the accuracy of data entry into the maintenance ERP system. (Oracle)
Studies production schedules and prepares estimates of worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Coordinates ordering of materials as required for timely completion of projects.
Checks work of personnel assigned to insure quality standards are being met and for timely completion of assignments.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the shop, department, and work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems as well as assists workers in solving work problems.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate repairs with the activities of individual departments.
Keeps the Department Managers informed of any issues pertaining to quality and effectively recommends action to resolve or remedy such issues.
Coordinates with supervisors to manage manpower and cover open jobs created by vacations or report-offs.
Is knowledgeable of the Union contract. Administers such contract to maintain a good working relationship with the Union.
Counsels and disciplines as required in accordance with the Labor Agreement and/or Company policies.
Develops and trains all personnel within the area of responsibility.
Works with other maintenance managers to develop best practices and Preventative maintenance plans.
Inform Department Managers of all major repairs or breakdowns.
Coordinates with Department Managers by holding regular meetings.
Administers all work rules, all safety work rules and practices established by the Alliance Plant Management. Make recommendations on improvements in safety management.
Administers all performance and housekeeping guidelines established by the Alliance Plant Management.
Communicates to subordinates and the Department Superintendent of trends, events or occurrences that will impact the operation.
Maintains departmental labor costs and expenses within the guidelines established by the Plant Manager.
Performs monitoring of the state of equipment (e.g., wear, lubrication, etc.) and checks equipment for preventative maintenance requirements. Maintains preventative maintenance schedules.
Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Associates Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Five to seven years of related supervisory experience and/or training.
Reliability Engineering experience would also be a plus.
