Aerotek maintenance mechanic/electrician job description

Pay Rate: $30 - $40/hr (Sign on Bonus as well)

1st Shift 7am -3pm

2nd Shift 3pm -11pm

3rd Shift 11pm - 7am

Weekend work including overtime (expect to work a good amount of overtime)

Primary Duties:

Responsible for providing mechanical support and maintaining mechanical components throughout the manufacturing plant

Troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, assisting with documentation, and training for all equipment

Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic FULL-TIME
$41.26/hr
Primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics, steam systems, and pneumatics, and troubleshooting experience with a proven ability in machine repair.
Duties include:
• Troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems down to the component level
• An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems.
• A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiar with steam generating systems and safety compliance
• Able to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives
• PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
• Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Working knowledge of power transmission equipment and bearings.
• Basic welding skills preferred but not required.
• Familiar with pumps, both air and electric.
• Able to install and troubleshoot basic 3 phase motor control circuits
• Some knowledge of the various types of sensors and limit switches

Amsted Rail is the world's leading manufacturer of undercarriage and end of car rail components for heavy haul freight railcars and locomotives. Our company focus for more than a century has been on providing the most innovative products and integrated systems to meet the needs of the global heavy haul freight rail industry.

We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Multi-craft, Mechanic/Electrician at our Kansas City, KS facility. The open positions are on our 6 pm to 6 am shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, working 3 12 hour days one week and 4 12 hour days the next, with a 3 day weekend off every other weekend. Pay range is $33.95 to $36.20 per hour dependent on skills.

These positions actively support the operations in the facility. The goal of the position is to keep all mechanical and electrical systems in the assigned areas maintained and repaired.
