The MM51 Certification provides knowledge and skills to install, configure, calibrate, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical instruments and equipment. Emphasis is placed on principles and practices of instrumentation for industrial process control systems and for communications, networking, and signal transmission systems. Many maintenance and repair workers learn some basic skills in high school shop or technical education classes, postsecondary trade or vocational schools, or community colleges.
