Maintenance painter job description

Responsible for ark welding repairs of trailers or other equipment. Assist the fleet mechanic with repairs of fleet vehicles, when necessary. Paint of building including walls and equipment. The projected time will be 33% of each position with the determination made by management as to the urgency.
Skills Required: Knowledgeable of welding practices, mechanical skills and familiar with painting of different objects including but not limited to walls and tankers. Must be able to read and understand data sheets. Must be able to communicate with co-workers.
Requires Ability to Lift up to 50 LBS Willingness to work in an Industrial/Chemical Setting. Willingness to be a team player. Willingness to Work Safely Every Day. Training Provided
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ark welding of tankers, and other equipment as specified by management. Assist fleet diesel mechanic as needed Responsible for ark welding of different equipment. Responsible but not limited to the painting of walls, trailers, or other as needed. Coordinate the repairs and completion with the supervisor or plant manager. Perform other duties as directed by management.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned.
• Performs routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Routine maintenance duties may include: fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects, working with heating and air systems, refrigeration systems, carpet and hard surface maintenance and “make ready” rooms as assigned.

Qualifications:

• One year maintenance experience.
• Ability to be on call if needed.
• Has a general understanding of systems including: plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance.
• Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.

**What will I be doing?**

As a General Maintenance Painter, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the hotel's engine room equipment and machinery in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

+ Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall\-covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities
+ Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing paint, matching paint and using brushes, rollers and spray\-guns
+ Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces including, but not limited to, hanging vinyl paper, fabric and foil wall coverings
+ Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing and lacquering
+ Manage related supply inventory
+ Complete other duties as requested by managers\.

+ MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN HOTEL MAINTENANCE OR 3 YEARS IN CONSTRUCTION
