We have a full-time opportunity for an Assistant Maintenance Superintendent for our housing department for multiple sites in Camden, Pennsauken and Trenton!

Under the direction of the Property Manager the Superintendent is responsible for the continued/preventative maintenance of all mechanical operations of the assigned property. This includes HVAC system, electrical, plumbing and curb appeal. Under the direction of the Superintendent the Compliance with local/state/applicable codes. And Supervision training of maintenance technicians.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent

Skill(s): reading, writing, analyzing, purchasing, contract negotiation, supervision, word, excel access & any systems established by LSMNJ

Experience: 2 years experience as a maintenance technician

Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.

Domtar Paper in Nekoosa, WI has an opening for Maintenance Superintendent. Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for all activities related to the plant maintenance function, including, but not limited to department safe work practices, equipment and facilities maintenance, business process execution, maintenance planning and scheduling, reliability initiatives and improvements.

Key Job Duties Include:

Promotes a strong safety culture and demonstrates adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Lead maintenance and reliability improvement efforts. Works to create a culture of executing best practices in reliability.

Primarily responsible for improvements in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.

Develop training plans for maintenance staff and crafts to continually improve skillsets.

Maintain technician certification requirements for condition-based maintenance and precision maintenance processes.

Identify and support resources to participate in root cause analysis, design for reliability reviews and defect elimination processes.

Accountable for providing short- and medium-term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.

Coordinates activities between the safety, engineering, and maintenance, environmental and operating departments to ensure maximum performance.

Provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance department responsible for the site asset care, maintenance & process optimization.

Facilitate improvements in precision maintenance practices to ensure asset life is maximized.

Facilitate and enforces all company policies and procedures.

Lead outage planning processes.

Assist Maintenance and Engineering Manager in developing department budgets.

Meet or exceed plant business plan and KPI's.

Job Description:
Applies knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical controls, and PLC programming to support projects for the repair, upgrade or replacement of facility equipment and controls. Conducts process optimization trials, performs troubleshooting and analysis, and develops strategies to reduce product variability, waste and operating costs. Create statistical analysis, charts, drawings, and reports to help illustrate and showcase potential issues within a product lifecycle or business process and how to improve it. Works on projects of large scope and complexity and resolves problems where precedent may not exist. Often leads the work of small project teams and may formally train less experienced engineering colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Participates in projects that support the maintenance, repair, upgrade, or complete replacement of facility controls and equipment.Manages projects and provides scope development, cost and time estimates, evaluation of costs and benefits, tracking, controlling and reporting.Programs manufacturing equipment PLCs and other controls, and provides equipment controls technical support to project engineers, vendors, facility managers, and internal maintenance on projects.Conducts design reviews to ensure components and assemblies comply with customer specifications.Creates training manuals and conducts training for machine operators and maintenance team.Prepares equipment and controls specifications and places orders. Evaluates existing equipment and controls with regard to productivity, cost-efficiency and safety, and makes recommendations for possible improvements.Conducts processes optimization trials, performs troubleshooting and analysis, and develops strategies to reduce product variability, waste and operating costs.Maintains complete and accurate records of all work performed and prepares monthly quality and production reports.Prepares and ships samples for compliance testing and analyzes outside lab compliance tests.May support visible emissions evaluation, inspections, or chemical inventory duties.Stays current of engineering technologies and trends for process improvement potential.Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Typically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4-8 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills
Possesses thorough understanding of electrical engineering with experience in machine controls, system analysis, design, development, and troubleshooting.Possesses working knowledge of cost estimation, specification and codes.Possesses strong interpersonal, communications, project management, and time management skills.Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.Possesses technical acumen and understanding of financial concepts (cost analysis, budgets).Demonstrates strong CAD and PLC programming skills.Engineering degree preferred.
