Supervises subordinate crew members with the assistance of the foreperson. Supervisory duties include training, scheduling, direct instruction, assigning, reviewing and planning work, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, allocating personnel, and takes corrective action on employee issues. Timekeeping of employee schedules with in the Cedar Point timekeeping system.
Reviews the work of subordinates for effectiveness and efficiency; Establishes and maintains a professional, trained, and motivated staff through effective implementation of performance and development programs. Uses effective communication to ensure all understand the expectations of the department. Utilizes company guidelines to hold those accountable when necessary.
Develops and implements short/long range ride maintenance/repair plans. Assists in performing winter overhaul and year-long preventive maintenance of assigned rides/vehicles. Assists in monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing rides/vehicles during operating season. Keeps Area Manager informed of all maintenance problems/areas of concern. Assists other departments on repairs/maintenance projects as appropriate.
Assists Area Manager in preparing department budget. Assists with ordering parts and materials as needed, ensuring compliance with the budgetary allocations. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory.
Ensures the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment. Conducts safety meetings and safety inspections of equipment. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from associates and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
Hires candidates for open positions to effectively and strategically grow the assigned team. Ensures the new hire has the knowledge and resources to perform their job to the best of their ability.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Vocational/technical training preferred.
1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, cutting torch, mechanic's tools, various other hand and power tools.
Preferred knowledge in Microsoft Office, Maintenance Connection, UKG, and JDE.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

Summary

Your Role as a Maintenance Manager:
Ensure an environment that is safe by reinforcing a "safety first" culture.
Lead all site Maintenance, Facility and Reliability activities
Directs the functions of a proactive Maintenance Planning and Scheduling organization, including detailed multi-craft corrective job planning, building of standard Predictive and Preventative Maintenance job plans using Redzone meeting a 98% completion rate, CMMS and Data management, administration of proactive schedule building, and others as required.
Provides leadership including selection and direction for the Maintenance team, setting goals, personnel scheduling, conducting performance dialogues, identifying training plans, reviewing job plans and meeting effectiveness, and providing coaching as necessary.
Analyzing and responding to the KPIs including all aspects of Job Plan Accuracy (safety hazards, work scope, tool selection, cost, parts identification, etc.).
Use KPIs for decision making and corrective action.
Creating and reviewing high risk job plans to ensure an appropriate level of rigor and mitigation activities are developed and accounted for prior to plan approval and execution.
Establishing and ensuring robust work processes between planning, operations, storeroom, maintenance, and contractor craft functions.
Plant compliance with State and Federal regulations governing employee safety & health, equipment design & operation, food safety & security and environmental compliance.
Manages purchase orders and/or material requests for maintenance materials, parts and for new items, resolve purchasing issues and manages parts inventory.
Establish and maintain asset reliability, including spare part necessities and inventory control.
Reviews work records for reporting accuracy, supervises the updating and maintenance of such records in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance system.
Working with internal customers to resolve issues of planning quality, costing and job scope issues, parts identification/selection, and other issues as they arise.
Provides reports to management for planning and scheduling activities as necessary.
Participates in and capable of leading Root Cause problem solving and Focused Improvement.
Provides clear scope, justification and ROI for proposed capital projects. Coordinates with internal departments as well as outside vendors and contractors.
Maintenance Manager Requirements:
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in engineering, industrial management, or related field.
7-10+ years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance and/or reliability execution, planning, and/or management.
5+ years in a maintenance/reliability leadership role.
Proven ability to build and foster a culture of reliability that values and rewards proactive planning as a means of service to our customers.
Strong knowledge of the principles of Reliability Excellence and maintenance work management.
Experience leading people and managing change across multiple functions.
Demonstrated experience consistently managing expectations and providing direction to a working team.
Working and communicating appropriately and effectively across roles and departments.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Physical Requirements:

Your Role as a Maintenance Manager:
Ensure an environment that is safe by reinforcing a "safety first" culture.
Lead all site Maintenance, Facility and Reliability activities
Directs the functions of a proactive Maintenance Planning and Scheduling organization, including detailed multi-craft corrective job planning, building of standard Predictive and Preventative Maintenance job plans using Redzone meeting a 98% completion rate, CMMS and Data management, administration of proactive schedule building, and others as required.
Provides leadership including selection and direction for the Maintenance team, setting goals, personnel scheduling, conducting performance dialogues, identifying training plans, reviewing job plans and meeting effectiveness, and providing coaching as necessary.
Analyzing and responding to the KPIs including all aspects of Job Plan Accuracy (safety hazards, work scope, tool selection, cost, parts identification, etc.).
Use KPIs for decision making and corrective action.
Creating and reviewing high risk job plans to ensure an appropriate level of rigor and mitigation activities are developed and accounted for prior to plan approval and execution.
Establishing and ensuring robust work processes between planning, operations, storeroom, maintenance, and contractor craft functions.
Plant compliance with State and Federal regulations governing employee safety & health, equipment design & operation, food safety & security and environmental compliance.
Manages purchase orders and/or material requests for maintenance materials, parts and for new items, resolve purchasing issues and manages parts inventory.
Establish and maintain asset reliability, including spare part necessities and inventory control.
Reviews work records for reporting accuracy, supervises the updating and maintenance of such records in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance system.
Working with internal customers to resolve issues of planning quality, costing and job scope issues, parts identification/selection, and other issues as they arise.
Provides reports to management for planning and scheduling activities as necessary.
Participates in and capable of leading Root Cause problem solving and Focused Improvement.
Provides clear scope, justification and ROI for proposed capital projects. Coordinates with internal departments as well as outside vendors and contractors.
Maintenance Manager Requirements:
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in engineering, industrial management, or related field.
7-10+ years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance and/or reliability execution, planning, and/or management.
5+ years in a maintenance/reliability leadership role.
Proven ability to build and foster a culture of reliability that values and rewards proactive planning as a means of service to our customers.
Strong knowledge of the principles of Reliability Excellence and maintenance work management.
Experience leading people and managing change across multiple functions.
Demonstrated experience consistently managing expectations and providing direction to a working team.
Working and communicating appropriately and effectively across roles and departments.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting (up to 50lbs), bending, twisting, climbing, grasping, pulling, walking and standing.
Work Environment:
Primarily in a bakery manufacturing setting, including refrigerated or frozen areas.
