The Overhead Door Technician will work as part of our team installing and servicing all types of overhead door mechanics and systems -including sectional, rolling steel, high speed, service and sliding doors, gate opening systems, operable partitions and dock leveling systems. Product specific training will be provided to teach new technicians specific techniques and procedures related to our product lines. An ideal candidate must be able to work in all types of work environments and weather conditions. We are in search of candidates that are willing to work 40 + hours a week to serve our growing customer base. You must have a positive attitude and represent the company while at customer job sites. You will be required to work overtime, some weekends, and at different job sites. As the primary point of contact for the company to the customer, punctuality, reliability, and a professional attitude is a must. Required Skills/Abilities: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in the following: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams. Analytical and trouble-shooting skills of mechanical and electrical components Use of scissor lifts, high lifts, fork trucks, and/or any other type of heavy equipment Job site organizational skills and attention to detail Ensuring job site safety (both to company policy and customer requirements) Ability to complete required training to gain access at local manufacturing sites. Current or ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification. Current or ability to obtain Association of Reciprocal Safety Council (ARSC) certification. Experience in the following a plus: Commercial overhead door installation/service, or relevant work experience ARC/MIG welding Metal fabrication Understanding of PLC functions (ladder logic/programming) Understanding of relay logic circuit and 3 phase 480 volts Will be trained to operate forklifts, telehandler/lull's, and other various pieces of heavy equipment as needed per job. Loading and unloading of job site materials out of truck and trailers. Items can be large/bulky and will require navigation on truck/trailer to utilize hoists and slings when possible, to assist with lifting material.
