Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Mechanic
What This Job Involves
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment and systems within assigned facilities. This position works alongside Mobile Engineers (HVAC/R) and Maintenance Technicians, performing various maintenance and repair tasks independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth functioning and safety of building operations.
Your Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include:
Maintaining lighting system bulbs and ballasts
Assisting the operations team in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment
Performing general interior maintenance such as HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, and kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.)
Completing minor plumbing repairs
Executing special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned
Being on call for after-hours emergencies
Complying with all safety procedures and maintaining good housekeeping and safety in work areas
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must have ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.
Use ladders up to 30 ft.
Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting required
Driving is a frequent part of the position
Maintains a clean and safe work environment
Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
Recognizes danger and safety hazards and proposes methods to eliminate them
Required Qualifications:
Valid state driver's license
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Completion of an applicable technical training program (desirable)
Minimum of one (1) year applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical

Responsibilities:
As our Maintenance Manager, you'll report to the Director of Engineering & Maintenance and take ownership of all things maintenance-people, processes, equipment, and results.
You'll:
Lead and inspire the entire Maintenance Department, including supervisors, technicians, planners, and buyers
Own the maintenance budget and deliver results aligned with business goals
Drive downtime reduction using data, metrics, and smart preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
Be hands-on when it matters most, especially during critical start-ups
Build and execute annual equipment rebuild and capital improvement plans

Maintain control of spare parts inventory, contractor/vendor relationships, and maintenance budget to optimize cost and asset availability.
Lead, mentor and develop a team of supervisors, planners, and technicians-ensuring staffing, training, and performance management across 24/7 operations as needed.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and extend equipment life through data-driven strategies.
Interface with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality assurance, operations, safety) to ensure maintenance supports production goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
Typically 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food, beverage or high-volume consumer goods) with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Proven experience in leading maintenance teams, implementing reliability-centered maintenance programs, and managing maintenance budgets.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, automation (PLC/VFD), instrumentation, and ability to lead troubleshooting efforts.
Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance data/analytics, as well as Lean, Six Sigma or TPM methodologies preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Excellent communication, leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a regulated production environment and aligning maintenance operations with food-safety and quality assurance standards.
