    Job Title:- Maintenance Supervisor (May go Longer) Work Hours:- Second Shift (02:00 PM to 10:00 PM) Job Description:- Lead, develop, direct, and monitor activities of maintenance personnel tasked with setting-up, maintaining and troubleshooting assembly equipment and processes to achieve maximum efficiencies with minimal downtime. Identify root causes of equipment failure, develop action plan to address causes, assign personnel to respond, and follow up to ensure project completion. Be proficient with use of PLC (programmable logic controllers). This includes troubleshooting, programming and documentation of PLC control programs. Proficiency required with Modican, Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC's. Must be able to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot wiring circuits. Must have a working knowledge and experience with 24, 115, 277 and 480 volt 3 phase electrical systems. This would include electrical distribution systems consisting of buss and switchgear equipment. Must be willing to work overtime as required on short notice during the week and weekends as scheduled. Must be able to travel for training. This would include overnight stays, possibly up to a week at a time. Develop, organize, schedule, and supervise preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment and facilities maintenance systems. Identify current/future maintenance requirements through supportive interaction with management, engineering, maintenance and production personnel. Ensure facilities equipment are adequate and appropriately maintained to support production operations and processes. Working knowledge and application of OSHA and safe operating practices, including but not limited to machine guarding, lockout/tag-out, personal protective equipment, and safe maintenance practices. Develop and support maintenance staff by leading, coaching, demonstrating, and providing training and discipline to enforce policies and procedures. Interact with supervisors and production personnel to ensure maintenance needs are met in timely manner to support manufacturing, production, and quality. Develop and oversee capital projects to upgrade equipment and machines to meet current and future needs. Performs other duties and assignments as required. SKILLS REQUIRED: - Computer skills in a Windows environment utilizing programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel as well as material planning applications. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to foster cooperation, teamwork, and to effectively communicate with others. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills. Strong professional presence and the ability to interact effectively with customers and suppliers. High sense of urgency and the ability to excel in a high pressure environment. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 to 8 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of experience with preventive maintenance controls. In depth understanding of production processes and customer service. Experience implementing lean management concepts. Using other maintenance disciplines in the development and application of root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of equipment and processes. Must follow all GMPs, SOPs and maintain a current understanding of the regulation and requirements of the industry and applicable government agencies; including but not limited to: FSAM, MSD, and State Health Department. You will coordinate and organize maintenance personnel and the activities they are assigned in order to ensure the highest level of reliability and efficiency of assigned production lines. You will be responsible for 10 direct reports, which includes mechanical and electical technicians. Main Responsibilities: * Determines resource allocation on shift, on the basis of needs from production plans and on-going activities * Participate in the selection and evaluation process of maintenance personnel * Cooperates in writing planned maintenance task lists and planned maintenance plans * Evaluates on-call intervention requests and assigns priority for area of responsibility * Responsible for predictive maintenance - collects all weak signals detected on production units to analyze with RDM and define best solution and corresponding timeline * Reviews and guarantees correctness of data uploaded into SAP PM * Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment are compliant with food safety standards and detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules * Coordinate with Health and Safety Department to investigate accidents and injuries and prepare report of findings * Coordinate proper recycling and disposal of scrap (materials and machinery) * Manage and execute trainings to production resources focused on autonomous maintenance (basic regulation, change-over) * Cooperate with RDM in the collection and analysis of changes, updates, and/or substitution of equipment requests * Cooperate with suppliers and other entities involved in the design and realization phases of new projects Who we are looking for: * 2-3 years as a maintenance supervisor in an industrial manufacturing environment * High School Diploma or GED and 2-Year Technical Degree in Maintenance Related Field such as Industrial Maintenance or Mechanical Maintenance * 4-7 years of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic; must include diagnostic troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying units to meet proper operating specifications * Ability to coordinate the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work while considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one * Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance * Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources * Experience in food manufacturing environment is preferred How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero: Consumers, quality and care are at the heart of everything we do.
