A customer of Insight Global is looking for skilled technicians with mechanical and electrical focus to join their team. You will be responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on various equipment, such as pumps, valves, and conveyors. You will also troubleshoot and resolve any tensions issues that may arise with the conveyor systems. To be eligible for this position, you must have at least Tech Level 2 and demonstrate basic mechanical, industrial, electrical and manufacturing environment skills. Any additional certifications will increase your eligible payrate. We have three openings for 2nd shift (6 PM to 6 AM). This is a 6-month contract with the guaranteed extension or permanent hire, should you be performing the role up to the organization's standards. Two of the three openings require an electrical license of some kind or enrollment in getting one. All tools are provided by employer, no personal tools. Responsibilities Assist with repairs on all types of equipment, including but not limited to, pumps, motors, conveyors, fans, air handling equipment, plumbing, and carpentry. Assist the maintenance mechanic with major repairs as required. Clean, inspect, lubricate and maintain equipment as specified by maintenance manuals, PM sheets and Manufacturer's recommendations to limit downtime and ensure maximum efficiencies of all equipment. Perform janitorial work, move office furniture, prepare and paint surfaces within and outside buildings, replace lighting, etc. Mow grass, sweep walk, collect litter, clean snow, unblock drainage, etc., as needed to maintain grounds in a clean and safe condition. Maintain proper inventory of replacement parts to ensure minimal downtime and re-orders through the Facilities Manager. Complete all necessary documentation such as daily work logs and repair logs, PM sheets, purchase orders and other data collection forms in an accurate and timely manner. Understand and follow all safety requirements, procedures, and policies. Understand and properly use safety equipment. Required/Preferred education and experience Valid driver's license. Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, and inspection, and routine thorough complex maintenance of aircraft, aircraft sub- systems, and components, as required. Perform engineering work orders regarding modifications and/or upgrades to various aircraft systems. Read and interpret manufacturers' and company's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, as required. Provide guidance and instruction to team members concerning technical orders, checklists, and hazardous materials. Responsible for maintaining equipment maintenance schedules on all company assets and monitoring parts and supply inventories. Ensure availability of materials, anticipating requirements and reordering. Offer technical guidance to Engineering staff regarding start-up of new equipment and follow-up of maintenance programs. Provide employees with proper training on company equipment as required by OSHA Regulations and monitors annual training requirements. May supervise and assist in aircraft/equipment movement. May conduct flight line and hangar foreign object damage prevention walks and housekeeping. May meet with Customers and Company Senior Leadership as required. Perform other qualified duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Ten (10) years of aviation maintenance experience. Five (5) years of supervisory experience. Three (3) years of US Army aviation maintenance experience. Two (2) years of US Army aviation maintenance supervisory experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location. Preferred Requirements: High School Education or equivalent. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Working knowledge of OSHA and company requirements. Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures. Advanced knowledge of aircraft common and special tools and test equipment, aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications and schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications, aircraft engine, landing gear, and flight control systems. Previous experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint-Required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to three (3) hours per day and sit for up to five (5) hours per day. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. to the height of 4 feet and up to 20 lbs. to a height of 7 feet. May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
