Job Functions:
This is a customer-facing position with general customer service duties including, but not limited to, providing assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment

Knowledge of reliability concepts and implementing precision maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability

• Works with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to coordinate installation, maintenance, enhancement and upgrade of the plant systems.
• Assist maintenance technicians and plant operations as necessary to troubleshoot plant equipment.
• Helps develop the criteria for preventative maintenance frequencies in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Engineer, and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Prepares job summaries for entry into the equipment history files.
• Monitors equipment history for frequent failures or for excessive repair costs. • Ensures that the Management of Change (MOC) in maintenance procedures and operating procedures, that are a result of modifying current equipment or a new installation, are communicated with other departments.
• Monitors new technology for ideas to reduce cost and improve plant on-stream time.
• Maintains close communication with all levels of supervision.
• Ensures that proper safety procedures are referenced appropriately on all planned jobs.
• Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts. Identifies and brings to the attention of department management internal controls deficiencies.
• Support site EHS activities through compliance with all environmental, health and safety policies/procedures, and through active participation in EHS programs and initiatives.

Position Requirements:
• Two years of college, an AA degree, or 5 years working experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial chemical setting. Previous planning or supervisor experience is preferred.
• Solid communication skills including the ability to effectively converse, compose written documents and interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and environmental, health and safety policies/procedures.

Vicksburg Forest Products is now seeking applications for Maintenance Manager. All applicants must be willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends, as well as being on call at select times. Previous maintenance experience is required, including but not limited to: millwright, welding and electrical.
Responsibilities
Foster a safe work environment, ensure maintenance personnel are practicing "best safe work practices", lead the identification and mitigation of all work hazards for the jobs performed prior to work commencing.
Assist in promoting a continuous improvement culture through communication and coaching employees as well as finding opportunities for streamlining production activities and enhancing value-added processes.
Develop, implement and maintain maintenance team schedules and detailed maintenance planning schedules that drive continuous improvement and support all elements of plant mechanical/electrical functions.
Responsible for cost control and benchmarking, planning, scheduling and other high-level managerial tasks.
Takes measures to proactively address all concerns.
Demonstrate strong leadership and training by leading manufacturing principles and events with supervision.
Ensure quality standards and order specifications are met throughout the manufacturing process of the wide range of products.

Required Skills
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a maintenance management level role in an industrial or manufacturing environment with a demonstrated ability in safely delivering operational excellence.
Demonstrated experience in safely leading manufacturing processes, predictive and preventative maintenance, productivity, and/or cost process improvements.
Excellent team-building and motivational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Previous wood products manufacturing management experience.
Lean manufacturing/5S experience a plus.
Environmental Conditions:
Must be able to tolerate extreme hot, humid, cold, and outdoor conditions. Comfortable working in loud environment, around moving machinery, with vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).

You must meet several requirements before joining the Air Force. These concern your background, overall health and other standards set by the Air Force, Department of Defense and federal law.Minimum Education
