What you'll be doing:
Troubleshoot sources of equipment problems through observation and use of precision measuring and testing instruments.
Assist other maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and associated control systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing, record results in logbooks / computer systems and make necessary chemical adjustments as required.
Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make necessary repairs as required.
Inspect motor, belts, fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions in accordance with maintenance procedures.
Performing basic welding activities to effect repairs on facilities and equipment.
Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings gears and other equipment parts in accordance with work procedures and technical manual.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment required. Applicable military experience will be considered.
Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment to be eligible for employment.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills is required.
Lockout / Tagout experience is required

Position Overview
A Maintenance Manager is responsible for oversight of the maintenance operations at the Freehold, NJ facility. This will include administration of CMMS software and Maintenance Repair account, liaising with service providers, managing Standard Works including inspections of equipment and supplies, and support to diagnosing and fixing any faults on maintenance systems. Your Role at Prestone
Develop and implement maintenance procedures, strategies, and programs

Set bases for Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Guarantee through Maintenance coordinator keeping track of supply and parts inventories.
Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment
Develop complete plants to purchase any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required to guarantee OEE on targets.
Managing parts cost in stock and allowances per period. Monthly, Quarterly and weekly.
Updating maintenance logs for all machinery.
Establishing metrics MTBF, MTTR, MTTCO, etc.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience.
5 or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility (industry experience preferred).

This position is responsible for maintenance support and mechanical system operations for cGMP Clinical and Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing on a modified third shift. The role is on-site in Raritan, NJ, and follows a Wednesday through Saturday overnight schedule. It is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with conversion expected between 6 months to 1 year.
The Maintenance Technician will partner with various Technical Operations functions to support personalized cell therapy production through safe and compliant manufacturing operations in accordance with cGMP requirements. This individual will play a key role in the buildout and ramp-up of clinical production and facility approval for a state-of-the-art cell therapy facility, supporting commercial launch and sustained production.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, clean room HVAC, clean steam, cryogenic storage, and process equipment/systems.
Apply expertise in plumbing, pipefitting, millwright work, and mechanical systems.
Perform minor upgrades and installations of facilities and systems.
Conduct on-site equipment and critical utilities maintenance, including support for manufacturing equipment projects, cost improvements, asset management, and reliability.
Support facility project initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Maintain required licensing and certifications.
Perform reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance with journeyman-level expertise in at least one trade.
Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
Use CMMS systems and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, electrical systems, motors (up to 600V), and switchgear.
Operate and maintain building automation systems, PLCs, HMIs, and sensors.
Support quality events (Deviations, OOTs, Change Controls, RCA, FMEA).
Ensure compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, DEA, and TSA regulations.
Provide on-call support and shift flexibility as needed.
Requirements
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biological/Biochemical Science/Bioengineering or High School diploma with equivalent experience.
Trade/Technical School Certification or military equivalent required.
Minimum 4+ years in industrial manufacturing or regulated environments; cGMP cleanroom experience preferred.
Proficiency in multiple crafts; HVAC and cleanroom maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with CMMS systems and working in aseptic, controlled environments.
Strong knowledge of EHS and regulatory standards.

* Evaluate suppliers and their services on an annual basis based on quality, customer service and pricing.

* Plans, manages and directs the efforts of the maintenance and electrical work teams to improve operational efficiency, reduce unscheduled downtime and to lower the unit cost of maintenance activity.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of broad-based maintenance management experience required
* Bachelor's degree required, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
* Proven experience implementing and sustaining Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems, including Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and Focused Improvement pillars
* Proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering projects, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, and EHS to deliver sustainable process improvements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,900 - $172,100. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
