The successful candidate will be a highly experienced subject matter expert in facilities maintenance, workplace safety, and data driven management and leadership. A background in MHE systems/applications, packaging automation, distribution processes and storage systems is a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as be able to influence, and develop relationships at all organization levels. The candidate must be capable of overseeing the maintenance acceptance of part of commissioning large-scale, complex projects. Moreover, this individual will need to be adept at providing technical leadership and mentoring to facilities maintenance leadership.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide leadership, mentor and manage field-based Facilities Mangers in the expansion and continuous improvement of Amazon's North American Fulfillment Network.
Drive maintenance Best Practices: Innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, provide a safe work environment and require safe work practices, train, commission equipment, collect, measure, and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes and improve Amazon customers experience.
Offer guidance to senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end of life (EOL) issues using ROI, and other analytical techniques.
Provide oversight for budget development and execution, and capital planning.
Help manage vendor support and equipment relationships and leverage Amazon's network size to maximize economies of scale.
Provide frequent on-site monitoring, auditing and enforcement of maintenance execution, safe work practices, and institute and audit training drills across the network.
Leverage the entire maintenance team for the benefit of the North American network.
Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing.
Provide Fulfillment Center General Managers with visibility over facilities manager responsibilities so that they can better understand, lead, mentor, and manage FMs.
Recruit, interview, and hire bar raising talent in the Facilities Maintenance and Facilities Area Manager roles.
Help create a world-class facilities maintenance organization.
Be willing and able to relocate for the needs of Amazon.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) experience
7+ years of managing large complex facilities organizations experience
Experience leading change in multiple site environments and influenceing those that are not direct reports or within your organization
7+ years of employee and performance management experience

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Rogers, MN building is in safe working order and that the equipment on the line is maintained and repaired in a safe and efficient manner. The Manager plans, directs, organizes, and proactively evaluates situations to ensure minimal interruption and downtown. They are responsible for working closely with management across the entire organization to ensure production levels are met, and workspaces are maintained. Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department; review safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians.
Maintain third party vendor contractors for internal cleaning, external landscaping and snow removal requirements.
Work closely with Health and Safety to ensure the building is maintained in a safe manner including proper signage, walkways, etc.
Manage employee relations including, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Supervise plant maintenance personnel. Ensure that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or associate's degree in maintenance, mechatronics, or technical related field with at least five (5) years of related experience and at least three (3) years of supervisor experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

The Maintenance Manager is accountable for leading and directing all reliability and maintenance activities, utilities operation and execution of capital plan as necessary. The Maintenance Manager will ensure successful completion of daily maintenance work as scheduled by the planning team and its execution by partnering with operational and support team members.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for plant maintenance including facilities, utilities, and operations to reduce downtime and assure peak plant efficiencies. Will partner or direct capital engineering design and projects to completion and work with appropriate vendors.

Assists with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer-term capital and operating budgets to deliver to business plan. Responsible for executing the capital plan to include all engineering design and project management, working with both internal and external resources. Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects at the same time safely and efficiently.
Establish criteria for assessing the quality of work performed by employees and contractors.
Supervise the completion of work through review of reports and frequent site inspections. Investigate the condition of buildings, equipment, and grounds, and recommend improvements in the facilities to ensure that needs are met.
Ability to coordinate and partner with corporate stakeholder groups to build and maintain programs and processes consistent with company standards.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or Applicable technical knowledge or Degree/Certification from Trade School is required.

Must have an understanding of PLC and logic controls for high speed operating equipment.
Food Manufacturing experience.
Prior experience in SAP preferred.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
Experience in the installation, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment through troubleshooting required. Electrical troubleshooting is a plus.

What You'll Bring:
5+ years of experience within a facility maintenance setting preferred, including an in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing components, systems and equipment in a commercial facility.
Holding a Minnesota First-Class engineer, Grade C boiler license or above is preferred.
Comprehension of basic MEP, and carpentry trades.
