Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer with experience in the oral solid dosage (OSD) pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to support safe, compliant, and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on solid oral dosage equipment, including:
Blenders, granulators, mills.
Tablet presses and capsule fillers
Coating machines.
Packaging lines (bottle, blister, cartoners)
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation issues to minimize downtime.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing supplemental support to 1200 17th Street as required. Standard shift is 9 am - 5 pm, however schedule flexibility is a must. Individual should have experience in the following areas: general maintenance, light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, and knowledge of safety procedures. This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer, who will oversee the day-to-day duties and deployment of the individual to other properties.
Core hours are 9am - 5pm. This will adjust on an as needed basis, with as much notice as possible. On-duty hours may be driven by demand for support in the portfolio. Individual must be able to accommodate after hours and weekend work, and may be requested to respond 24/7, as back up to the assigned building engineering staff. Overtime is authorized as approved by supervisor and for emergencies.
Position Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs in a timely and professional manner.

Maintenance supervisor job in Washington, DC
Alutiiq Logistics and Maintenance Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment under the direct supervision of the Lead Engineer or Project Manager. This position will not include standing an Engineer's watch. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in HVAC systems, and the ability to follow detailed orders and instructions.
1. Preventive Maintenance:
o Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
o Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, and replacing worn parts to prevent breakdowns.
2. Repairs and Troubleshooting:
o Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems with equipment.
o Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
o Test equipment to ensure proper functionality after repairs.
3. Installation and Upgrades:
o Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
o Upgrade existing systems to improve efficiency and safety.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
o Report any significant issues or concerns to the supervisor.
5. Safety and Compliance:
o Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
o Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
6. HVAC Systems:
o Install, service, and repair environmental-control systems in residences, department stores, office buildings, and other commercial establishments.
o Mount compressor and condenser units, fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts.
o Cut and bend tubing to correct length and shape, thread pipe, and join tubing or pipes to refrigerating units.
o Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and power sources.
o Install air and water filters, inject refrigerant, observe pressure and vacuum gauges, and adjust controls.
o Test joints and connections for gas leaks, wrap pipes in insulation, replace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Clearance Required: TS/SCI
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, including HVAC systems.
Skills:
o Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
o Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
o Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must possess valid driver's license

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing supplemental support to various locations within the Akridge portfolio as required. This role will be heavily focused on working where needed and will provide signifcant mentorship and training opportunities, with exposure to a broad range of engineering components and issues. Schedule flexibility is a must. Individual should have minimal experience in at least one of the following areas: general maintenance, light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, and knowledge of safety procedures. This position reports directly to the SVP of Technology and Engineering, who will oversee the day-to-day duties and deployment of the individual to other properties.
Schedule will adjust on an as needed basis, with as much notice as possible. On-duty hours may be driven by demand for support in the portfolio. Individual must be able to accommodate after hours and weekend work, and may be requested to respond 24/7, as back up to the assigned building engineering staff. Overtime is authorized as approved by supervisor and for emergencies.
Position Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs in a timely and professional manner.

• Make efficient and effective use of email communication with CE, SVP, and building teams being supported.

Position Qualifications:
• Must have high school education, equivalent, or trade school
• Must be able to understand, speak and write English
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
• Must have a dependable means of transportation to get to and from job sites at any time
• Must have general knowledge on portable devices (cell phone, tablets, etc)
• Must be computer literate
• Must be in good physical condition and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, etc. to reach items in need of repairs.
• Must be able tolerant of all extremes of hot and cold weather, as may be necessary
• Must have or obtain CFC Universal Certification within 90 days
