This position will be responsible for leading the Plant's Maintenance operations, including all machine, fixtures, material handling vehicles and facility operation. The position will be hands-on in the repairs and maintenance of the facilities infrastructure and the equipment. Responsible for supervising the maintenance and facilities team in effectively minimizing downtime through preventative and predictive maintenance activities, establishing plans and scheduling through effective communication with plant leadership and peers. Managing maintenance and repairs cost through internal efficiencies and vendor relationships will be critical. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES · Manage overall operations of the Maintenance department and assists with the development and coaching of the maintenance staff. · Supports the Production Managers in planning equipment preventive maintenance activities and initiates repair activities for equipment that needs urgent or immediate attention. · Works as the key liaison with other team members and Production departments to help minimize machine downtime and failure rates, as well as maximizes equipment productivity. · Uses Lean Manufacturing and other Continuous Improvement methodologies to optimize work processes, adapt maintenance tools and procedures to improve equipment utilization and reliability, and minimizes service quality incidents. · Works with OEM support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues. · Gather and interpret data from our APM system to recommend pathways to reduce downtime and cost of operations. · Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipment maintainability and reliability. · Identifies internal and external property conditions and communicates with internal departmental staff or outside resources/vendors to ensure property upkeep is maintained and improved. · Keeps current with the latest technology and maintenance methods of current and future equipment being used in all production facilities; stays informed of safety standards from organizations that affect business. · Performs other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed (including but not limited to ordering supplies, assisting with timecards, scheduling of work and overtime, audit process support, etc.). Schedule: Mon-Thur 6:30am-4pm Fri 7am-11am QUALIFICATIONS · Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance position. · Previous experience with metal fabrication industry, mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly experience is desired. Metal CNC maintenance a plus. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Strong electrical / mechanical background required. · Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), and the ability to quickly learn other computer programs used in the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department. · May occasionally be required to travel to other facilities to participate in maintenance activities. · Knowledge of PLC's, CNC machinery, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other common manufacturing disciplines are required. · AutoCad or 3D Software experience a plus · Previous experience working in an ISO or TS certified facility desired. INTRODUCTION The Spokane Station Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the supervision of aircraft maintenance performed at GEG facility and be responsible for facility and equipment upkeep. Will be responsible for communication between Empire Fleet Managers and GEG Mechanics regarding maintenance activities. This position is also responsible for the development and supervision of maintenance standards, personnel, and equipment required to implement maintenance activities at GEG. Important Note about Schedule/Travel: This is a field service role with very frequent travel (75%), most of which is in a company van that the Technician keeps at home. The territory covered is generally within a few hours' drive, but occasional travel to other territories, sometimes by plane, will also be required. The work hours in this full-time role will include some weekend days, and shifts can vary between morning, afternoon, and night. A high degree of flexibility is required to accommodate our Customer needs. This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our Customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following states: Washington. What You Will Do as a Specialty Service Technician * You will be accountable for Customer satisfaction as a first point of contact through pro-active, professional communication and commitment to resolving Customer's issues/problems expediently. * You will communicate effectively and proactively with Customers on preventative cleaning needs, and associated scheduling and equipment details (arrival, service status, completion, next steps). Establishes and maintains rapport with the Customer and other key decision makers to promote Sterilizer services. * You will perform sterilizer cleaning function including changing required chemical ingredients; making adjustments to necessary chemicals; monitoring the cleaning process; maintaining appropriate pressures; maintaining and repairing the chamber cleaning equipment; handle, transport, and dispose of chemicals used in chamber cleaning according to safety protocols. * You will work closely with the Scheduling Team, Supervisor and Customer to plan efficient service routes within assigned territory, and adhere to all coverage, and service standards. * You will troubleshoot and consult proper contact for any observed issues with equipment and systems components. * You will utilize company-issued smart phone, laptop, and related software to perform administrative tasks, including required documentation and reporting. * You will be responsible for Company vehicle, equipment, and supplies and parts inventory, including appropriate maintenance and escalation of issues for safe, effective operation. The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed Required: * High School Diploma or GED * 3 years of work experience, at least 1 year of which must be technical or service-related work (sterile processing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, automotive etc.) * Associates degree, or related certifications or military experience, may be considered towards minimum years of work experience. * Valid driver's license. * Ability to work flexible hours (mostly outside "normal business hours," including overtime and weekends), with up to 50% travel overnight. * Demonstrated proficiency with basic computer skills, smart phone use, etc. * Excellent interpersonal and Customer communication skills. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently without supervision. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
