ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, detect and replace defective items, test and make final adjustments for high-speed production equipment.
Must be able to maintain equipment in accordance with diagrams and manufacturer's specifications while following preventative maintenance, work orders and scheduled PMs in a CMMS program.
Maintain a clean and efficient parts inventory while notifying of stock depletion for reorder in CMMS.
Be able to use Lathes, mills, bandsaw, drill press, etc. as required to repair parts or fabricate parts as needed.
Complete PMs efficiently and thoroughly.
Able to operate equipment such as forklifts, scissors lift, and other appropriate equipment.
Maintain current GMP, SQF, Food Safety practices.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following represents the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
• 6+ years of progressive experience with maintenance or plant engineering, as well as 2+ years of people management, preferable in a CPG environment
• Bachelor's degree; in mechanical, electrical, engineering (strongly preferred), or equivalent years of experience.
• CMRP certification is preferred.
• Experience working and collaborating with management teams.
• Strong project management and project execution skills.
• The ability to lead and participate in root cause problem solving exercises in high pressure environment to arrive at the correct technical solution.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence team members within and outside of the department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Schedule the daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) or Work order (WO) assignment by technician daily.
· Experience working with packaging machines, Thermoformers, and rotary machines, Vemag, Clipping Equipment for casing material.
· Manage maintenance associates with respect to hours, vacations, floor coverage, position placement, motivation and performance daily, weekly and by the month
· Coach, motivate, train on the job, and assist maintenance associates in job or task related issues in order to build and maintain employee motivation and performance. Complete annual performance appraisals on time.
· Maintain maintenance inventory accuracy through daily parts requisition and weekly cycle counts.
· Maintain area expense on R&M Material Fix, and Hourly Indirect OT.
· Experience working with CMMS system to produce and track work orders.
· Experience with daily start-up and breakdown of production equipment.
· Plant production rate should meet or exceed defined hourly rate.
· Knowledge of equipment uptime tracking.
Qualifications:
· Technical degree, license or certificates preferred
· Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or equivalent maintenance environment.
· Electrical distribution 480-volt power, low voltage, electrical controls to include PLC's, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical skills, the ability to read blue prints and technical manuals
· Microsoft Office applications, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), PLC Software applications, technical reading and writing, leadership, problem solving, budget management.
Ammonia refrigeration knowledge would be plus.
· Must be willing to train on ammonia refrigeration system.
· Must be willing to be on call for department and on call rotation for refrigeration system and weekend plant inspection.
· Valid US driver's license and vehicle to commute
· Boiler and or Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus.

**Qualifications:**

Identifies, defines and implements process and project improvements that lead to capacity increases, cost reduction, safety and ergonomic improvements and quality improvements.
Oversees budgets, timelines, and contractors. Accountable for Operating Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements.
Develops and owns a maintenance budget based on current plant needs and future projections. Requests and assembles contract bids and submits for approval.
Manages appropriate part inventories, balancing downtime costs with investment costs.
Oversees preventive maintenance programs, minimizing downtime and product quality defects.
Maintains records of repairs and critical maintenance activities for product quality purposes, ensuring problems are resolved.
Assists with the planning and implementation of plant improvements and expansions suggestions to workflows, room layout, and throughput capacities and/or carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
Synchronizes work order priorities, working with the operations team to coordinate repairs, ensuring they comply with safety and quality guidelines.
Maintains building plans, blueprints, and drawings.
Leads maintenance team staff and delegates work responsibilities with appropriate priorities.
Responsible for the skill assessment and development of the technical workforce.
Ensures compliance to SQF and regulatory requirements.
Serves as the site safety coordinator, managing programs such as LOTO, wastewater compliance, etc.
Candidate Qualifications:
Minimum two-year college degree required in a technical field, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
Must have a basic knowledge of SQF, OSHA and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
Prior maintenance experience is required, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Experience with plant utilities, facilities, HVAC, HFFS equipment, slicing equipment, and/or grinding/stuffing equipment.
Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems on the go.
Must possess good communication and organizational skills.
