Maintenance supervisor job in Milwaukee, WI
Maintenance Technician needed! This is a direct hire opportunity with our client that offers room for advancement.
7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday
2:00pm to 10:00pm Monday through Friday
Pay: $28-35/hour based on experience
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can support operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
Develop and document preventative maintenance procedures and startup/shutdown procedures for production operators.
Support production team by diagnosing equipment issues and implementing timely repairs.
Fabricate or modify machine parts using basic machining, welding, or hand tools when necessary.
Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and repair documentation.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all company and OSHA safety standards.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests from the production manager and shift leads.
Collaborate with engineering and production staff on process improvements and equipment upgrades.
Participate in training sessions as needed to stay current with equipment and safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
3+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in a manufacturing environment.
