* Knowledge of lumber manufacturing processes and equipment
Skills
* Ability to read blueprints, plans and schematics
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication & interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently with little supervision.
* Organizational and planning skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook considered an asset

Freedom Behavioral is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the facility operates efficiently by performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to uphold safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, including structural repairs to windows, doors, and walls
Repair broken or leaking plumbing fixtures to prevent damage and restore full use
Address electrical wiring issues such as shortages or severed wires
Maintain HVAC systems to ensure proper climate control within the facility
Apply preventative measures, such as sealing flat roofs, to reduce future risks
Repair potential safety hazards to prevent injuries
Paint interior or exterior areas where paint is faded or chipped
Perform basic plumbing to resolve leaks, clogs, or drainage problems
Handle electrical wiring repairs for facility operations
Conduct basic carpentry repairs as needed
Provide groundskeeping maintenance for lawns and outdoor areas
Interact pleasantly with staff and residents
