    Key Duties/Responsibilities This position will assist the Maintenance Manager in the daily operations of the maintenance, repair, and programming of production equipment and all upkeep within the SSI Foods plant. Incumbents at this level typically perform the more difficult and complex types of duties and provide lead supervision over assigned personnel. The Mechanic III is responsible for the maintenance of water well fields; pump stations, treatment facilities, and systems associated with production, transmission and treatment. Directly supervises class I and class II Utility Maintenance Mechanics and Utility Workers. Implements and insures use of safety programs and safety equipment. Class III Mechanics may reasonably expect to progress to the Chief Mechanic level with training, experience, and continued demonstration of satisfactory job performance . ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES The duties listed below are intended only as examples of the various types of work that may be performed.
