This position carries out those activities required to maintain and correct damage and make repairs to physical buildings, structures, and facilities as well maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and cleaning equipment of assigned facilities. Additionally, this person will do a variety of work involving equipment use such as scissor lifts and necessitate regularly working from ladders.
Responsibilities
* Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
* Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
* Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
* Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
* Current electrician's certificate of fitness is preferred.
* Regular day shift, M-F but position may involve on call, night, weekend work or emergency call outs on an as needed basis.
* Escorts and/or assist other subcontractors/facilities techs, regardless of skill set/trade, to include but not limited to any other subcontractor working in our facilities.
* This position may require approximately 70% travel out of Anchorage area to other Alaska locations. Some overnight travel is required.
* Carries out the additional duties of all around facilities maintenance worker, some other duties and responsibilities this position may require are as follows:
* Repairs damage to walls and flooring
* Repairs door, locks and exit hardware
* Minor plumbing Repairs
* Repairs conveyor belts and systems
* Drywall installation/repairs, painting
* Carpet installation/repair.
* Moving equipment/furniture when required
* Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
* This position is responsible for the supervision of staff as needed.
* Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
* A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
* 5 years of directly related facilities and/or building maintenance experience with electrical experience.
* State of Alaska electricians' license/certificate of fitness is preferred.
* Valid Alaska Driver's License with three (3) years acceptable driving record to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
* Must be available for after-hours emergency call in as needed.
* Must be able to work well with others as directed and be a team player.
* Able to work independently and prioritize workload.
* Must be able and have some experience to assume a supervisory role and/or job site lead technician.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Weather: Indoor/Outdoor - occasional exposure to harsh weather conditions; requires work to be done both inside and outside.
Noise level: noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.
Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

The Plant MaintenanceTechnician position is responsible for assisting the Air Separation Unit (ASU) with all plant start, shutdowns, and outage repair work. The position will ensure all preventative maintenance for the Anchorage Fill Plant, Palmer Facility, and ASU are done in compliance with company policies and timelines. This role will also include assisting the Field Service Technicians with larger scaled projects that include Airgas facilities, and customer sites.
Monitors and maintains the safe operation of an Air Separation Facility which produces cryogenic products.
May be responsible for monitoring the remote Vacuum Pressure Swing Absorption (VPSA) plants on a rotating basis while on call.
Assist in the service, inspection, use, and maintenance of shop tools/equipment in accordance with manufacturers' recommended procedures.
May share on-call responsibilities with other operators to facilitate uninterrupted plant operations.
Performs quality control functions associated with products to maintain quality assurance.
Prepares and maintains accurate records in accordance with all safety, quality, regulatory and production requirements, such as plant readings, and plant maintenance, etc.
Determines if immediate maintenance action is required and acts appropriately by informing the direct manager.
Takes initiative to improve facilities (i.e. operations, reliability, and costs) while staying within budget and communicating with Plant Manager.
Performs administrative functions, i.e. requisitioning, purchasing, production accounting, and(closure of PO's and receiving / time inputting) as needed.
Interacts with both internal and external customers in a professional manner. Works as a team player with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds ensuring the job is completed satisfactorily.
Prioritizes workload to maximize time spent working on equipment at internal or external customer locations.
Installs, extracts, inspects, troubleshoots and repairs bulk tanks, valves and cryogenic pumps and performs operational tests after installation.
Operates and safely maintains equipment for pumping or repackaging gasses into cylinders.
Regularly inspects and maintains pumping apparatus, tanks, and valves and associated monitoring devices for the facility equipment and buildings.
Answers technical questions from internal or external sources.
Regular and predictable attendance is essential in this role. May be required to work long hours based on the needs of the customer and service requirements. Participates and follows requirements of the on-call program.
Maintains plant appearance with housekeeping responsibilities within the workspace.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate with the Supervisor for the scheduling and assignment of daily job tasks.
2. Lead and direct subordinate crewmembers in the performance of job tasks. Ensure that productivity and work quality is satisfactory.
3. Ensure that all identified maintenance discrepancies are documented.
4. Perform troubleshooting. Assist in determining the proper course of maintenance action when a discrepancy is found.
5. Assist subordinate crewmembers with interpreting maintenance manual or SRM instructions.
6. Ensure that all maintenance performed by subordinate crewmembers is in accordance with approved maintenance data, such as the AMM, SRM, CMMs, WDM, Service Bulletins, EAs, etc. Ensure that all maintenance actions performed by subordinate crewmembers are properly documented.
7. Provide OJT as necessary to subordinate crewmembers.
8. Provide oversight of subordinate crewmembers and assist the Supervisor in identifying the need for training or remedial training.
9. Assist subordinate crewmembers in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
10. Assist the Supervisor in identifying any safety related deficiencies.
11. Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (including but not limited to)
1.0 Custodial Services
Provides cleaning and janitorial services for the PAC's performance spaces, lobbies, bathrooms, dressing rooms, offices and other spaces to maintain a clean attractive environment for patrons and others.
1.1 Cleans all public spaces including, but not limited to, performance spaces, concession areas, restrooms and lobbies
1.2 Cleans administrative offices and patron lounge
1.3 Cleans assigned backstage areas including dressing rooms, restrooms, basement locations, stairwells, elevators
1.4 Removes trash, vacuums or mops floor surfaces
1.5 Dusts/cleans and disinfects surfaces and fixtures, including all specified wall surfaces

2.0 Maintenance
Assists in minor repairs to the building systems, structures and equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and door hardware to assure their safe and effective function. Operation of power and hand tools in performing maintenance duties.
2.1 Repairs custodial equipment and tools, minor plumbing, HVAC, electrical and lighting systems, door hardware, and assists with minor repairs throughout the facility
2.2 Receives work orders, identifies and prioritizes repairs/requests from house manager reports and carries out minor repairs and maintenance
2.3 Responds to fire panel alarms, identifies source of trouble
2.4 Makes scheduled system checks for HVAC, building roof and drains
2.5 Works as on-duty mechanic on a rotating shift which requires on-call status with a company-provided phone.
2.6 Assists with projects assigned by Supervisor, including but not limited to radios, paging and systems
2.7 Maintain equipment and inventory tools, reports needed supplies to Supervisor
2.8 Performs exterior cleaning, snow removal and maintenance
2.9 Periodically assists with equipment set up, patching/painting wall surfaces and security duties as required

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

* Use the Annual Preventative Air Conditioning Maintenance checklists/job plan provided or by manufacturers specifications.

May be required to travel within hours of client request to any site throughout the State of Alaska. Must be willing and able to fly on small aircraft to said remote sites although the majority are accessed via road system.
* Must be able to work well with others as directed and be a team player.
* Able to work independently and prioritize workload.
* Positions main focus will be on HVAC specific tasks a majority of the time but building maintenance duties are required and client needs always take precedence.
* Assume Supervisory role and/or job site Lead technician. Ability to instruct others as a lead technician in a professional manner.
* Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
