Keeps forklift trucks operating by conducting periodic inspections; completing preventive maintenance requirements; identifying and repairing or replacing faulty or suspect parts. 2. Repairs forklift trucks by listening to operator description of malfunction; conducting tests; identifying operating problems and resolution; repainting vehicles. 3. Maintains vehicle maintenance and operational history by initiating and updating records. 4. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy forklift environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential concerns. 5. Verifies forklift truck performance by test-driving vehicles. 6. Completes daily forklift truck preparations by charging and maintaining batteries, filling propane tanks. 7. Evaluates proposed forklift truck equipment by examining capabilities, conducting tests. 8. Improves forklift truck maintenance job knowledge by attending training sessions, reading technical publications. Contributes to forklift truck maintenance and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results Requirements EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Extensive knowledge in diagnostics, maintenance and repairing internal combustion engines and electric driven forklifts. Experience should include hydraulics, gas, diesel, propane, and electric powered equipment, including Yale, Hyster, CAT, Toyota, Nissan, Raymond, Crown, etc. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED Certifications/Licenses: Class B Commercial Driver's License, plus endorsements (Haz Mat optional)
