CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Desert Champions is hiring for a Building Maintenance II position. This position requires skilled work in multiple trades, including prior construction and repair experience and education. Employees in this position are responsible for work in maintenance, construction, alterations, and repairs. Duties include determining work methods and procedures with some supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Perform work in electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, painting, welding, and carpentry *
* Inspects, installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical fixtures including, ballast, outlets, and lamps *
* Trouble shoot facility systems equipment such as HVAC as needed *
* Inspect, install, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing fixtures and faucets *
* Perform skilled interior and exterior priming and painting techniques, includes the use of brushes, rollers, and spray equipment *
* Repair and replace fencing, flooring, ceiling, shelving, cabinets, and counters *
* Constructs form work for various concrete projects *
* Read and maintain electrical meters, testers, hot stick, electrical equipment, and electrical multi-meter *
* Ability to read and exercise the pressure indicator valve, and log reading for monthly record keeping *
* Stock and inventory materials and supplies *
* Clean and maintain tools, materials, and work site *
* Follow company procedures to ensure a safe work environment *
* Must be flexible in working with other departments in site set up for all events *
* Must be a team player *
* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* High School Diploma/G.E.D.
* 3-5 years of experience working in a building maintenance/construction related field
CERTIFICAITONS AND LICENSES
* California Workplace Harassment certification - training required and provided
* Valid Driver's License
* Fork, Scissor and Reach Lift
* OSHA
MATH ABILITY
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as counting, adding, subtracting, multiplication and division
* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
LAUNGUAGE ABILITY
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* Ability to speak, read, and understand English
REASONING ABILITY
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
* Ability to make decisions by applying logic based on the information provided
COMPUTER SKILLS
* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Time clock/Mobile time clock
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER ABILITIES
* Considerable knowledge of the practices, methods, and materials used in construction or maintenance such as: carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, masonry, concrete, and HVAC
