Technical Tasks:
* Maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots through daily maintenance and repair tasks. Which can include but is not limited to - diagnosing unforeseen problems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment (tires, electronics, motors).
* Carrying out preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure. Monitoring and servicing our internal systems, running tests and completing reports, and completing updates or improvements to existing systems as appropriate.
* Perform root cause analysis to identify the causes of faults or problems and systematically develop a solution to prevent/solve underlying issues.
Operational Tasks:
* Accurately document all tasks/partner or internal messaging related to service concerns or robot-related issues using appropriate applications/tools.
* Maintain a clean and organized hub by performing accurate spare parts inventory audits twice a week and ensuring all tools are accounted for and returned to their proper location after use.
* Work with our engineering team to identify any potential improvements regarding robot health and design.
* Assist our Operational Team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance through performing weekly Merchant Preflights to understand any service-related issues, provide operational and troubleshooting assistance related to Starship-provided devices, and act as a Starship brand representative while interacting with clients.
* Occasionally support our Operational Service team by assisting with Robot field rescues or operational services tasks when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
* A passion for robots and innovative technologies.
* Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or another related STEM field.
* Previous experience in Technical Support and with any service desk application is beneficial, but not required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
* Perform daily campus custodial duties, including emptying trashcans in offices, common areas, and used classrooms daily and all exterior trash cans weekly; cleaning all common area tabletops and used classroom tables daily; cleaning whiteboards; cleaning doors; and cleaning staff and visitor kitchen areas. Daily dust mop common areas, hallways, stairwells, and used classrooms and vacuum offices, learning common areas, and door mats three times weekly. 1st Shift: Weekday, Monday-Thursday (6:30am-5pm)
Objective: Contributes to the overall manufacturing environment by completing preventative maintenance, completing and participating in projects to increase overall equipment efficiency, be able to troubleshoot general mechanical and electrical issues on production lines including conveyors and packaging equipment. Engage with operators and management team to develop and execute process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Conducting and completing scheduled preventative maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency.
* Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP preferred).
* Disassemble and assemble equipment for new installation and repair existing equipment.

Working Conditions/Environment
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 75 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more at various frequencies and or intervals. Must be able to stand for an 8 - 10 hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive tasks. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee may be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment, and handling of hazardous sanitation chemicals. The noise level is loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.

Job Summary: The Operator Technician sets up and operates the equipment to temper, anneal, or heat-treat aluminum.
Responsibilities
Operator technicians set up and operate equipment to temper, anneal, or heat-treat aluminum.
Reads production schedules to determine sequences, temperatures, and heat cycles.
Documents times that parts are removed from treatment.
Sets up and operates machines such as furnaces, baths, flame hardening machines, and electrical induction machines.
Determines the types and temperatures of baths and quenching media needed to attain specified part hardness, toughness, and ductility.
Removes parts from furnaces after specified times, and air dries or cools parts in water, oil brine, or other baths.
Monitor's operations to make sure machines and processes are working properly.
Adjusts controls to maintain temperatures and heating times.
Tests parts for hardness using testing equipment.
Repairs, replaces, and maintains equipment using hand tools.
Consistently follows safe working procedures.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required
Ability to perform manual work in an environment with temperatures up to 110 degrees
Ability to work a rotating swing shift

Working Conditions/Environment
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 75 pounds 25 feet or more. Must be able to stand for an 8-10-hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive work. May be required to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs, safety glasses, beardnets (if facial hair exists), hairnets, and steel-toed / slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards. Must maintain a clean shaved face to facilitate wearing a Full Face Respirator.
