Maintain EAM database of new purchased equipment, existing equipment and maintain PM schedules. Facilitate factory tool calibrations and maintains all tool calibrations requirements.
Create requisition in SAP for tools, equipment, new parts, instruments, and supplies
Allocate team appropriately to support timely execution on work orders
Development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques
Inspect and test shop equipment and new and repaired instruments to verify dimensions of parts and for conformance to quality control standards
Track process indicators and spare parts / labor consumption and equipment performance
Be first line of communication with equipment suppliers for quotes, orders and support for troubleshooting equipment. Host suppliers on site when required in accordance with Vestas safety procedures
Provide Department Manager with equipment status reporting; including routine maintenance and damaged equipment for return to service estimations

Education, Training, and Skills Required:

* Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and/or replaces complex processing and packaging equipment including: Mechanical components such as conveyor belts, bearings, motors, pulleys, shafts, gearboxes, etc. Pneumatic components such as air cylinders, diverters, hoses, regulators, pumps, valves, etc.
* Utilizes drawings, prints, and instruction manuals to determine proper steps to be taken for equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
* Coaches other team members on technical skills, machine functionality, defect identification and resolution, and equipment repairs.
* Active participant in training and qualification programs for designated line/area. Participates in assessments, ensures effective training, and maintains consistent qualification standards.
* Uses continuous improvement tools, including breakdown elimination, to eliminate losses and drive issues to root cause; documents, communicates, and implements corrective and preventative actions.
* Serves as owner of one or more technical, safety, or quality systems and is responsible for building technician skill and providing ongoing coaching.
* Creates documentation as needed (SOPs, Job Aids, PM Improvements, etc.).
* Increases skills and knowledge by attending technical training sessions, participating in vendor visits, and scheduled maintenance activities.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The MaintenanceTechnician is responsible for addressing a variety of challenges and performing associated maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment within an industrial food manufacturing facility. The position is more of an industrial maintenancetechnician that will self-perform or assist other technicians with advanced repairs throughout the campus. The role works under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Intermediate understanding of PLC's, ability to access program for troubleshooting purposes (would not be expected to program PLC's)
Troubleshoot and repair minor pneumatic and hydraulic problems
Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping systems, water systems, and steam systems
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general manufacturing equipment such as starters, start/stop stations, motors (up to 480V)
Experienced in programable firmware, AC and DC electrical systems, analog and digital display units.
Test performance of robotic assemblies
Evaluate efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Must be 21 years old or older
Must be flexible on duties and schedule
Ability to work independently
Ability to perform work at heights using fall protection gear
Ability to bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
Ability to frequently lift and or move a variety of objects up to 75 pounds
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write basic reports and customer request documents such as work orders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
2+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls
2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, and industrial electronics
2+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance
Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
