This position deals with the maintenance of water, wastewater and reclaimed water equipment such as, but not limited to the following: submersible pumps, dry pit pumps, high head pressure mobile pumps, vertical turbine pumps, split case pumps, progressive cavity pumps, peristaltic pumps, rotary lobe blowers, centrifuges, conveyors, valves, piping, gearboxes, air systems, gas compressors, gas service turbine generators, grit chambers or manual bar screens and chemical systems such as those used in treating H2S gases, water treatment, and wastewater treatment within Water Resources Department systems and Plant Facilities. This candidate will be able to troubleshoot and repair any of the above listed equipment as well as perform predictive and preventative maintenance utilizing the following tools and technologies; perform alignments on pumps and motors, utilize laser alignment equipment on blowers and motors; be able to perform vibration and ultrasound testing on motors, gearboxes, pumps, and blowers with provided vibration and ultrasound tools.
