In this role, you will be responsible for disassembly and reassembly of various types of hydraulic cylinders across a broad range of applications ranging from large bore, close tolerance cylinders in the Oil and Gas market to industrial cylinders which can be hydraulic or pneumatically operated.
Successful cylinder technicians are self-motivated and must be able to use calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to measure seals, seal lands, and associated surfaces to determine failure mode or validate upstream operations prior to assembly. Additional skills required to be successful in this position are the ability to use and interpret manufacturing drawings, service manuals, parts books, and work instructions to perform inspections or address any technical questions which may arise.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Possess the knowledge to disassemble, inspect, and reassemble cylinders in the best cost-efficient way to produce a quality product meeting all requirements and within the planned routers to support the objective of making the company the most profit.
Assemble parts list for repair work.
Ensure that the quality of work manufactured is per the customer requirements and reporting and nonconformances to the Quality Department prior to quality control inspection activities.
Use manufacturing IT resources to document work activity (routers, forms, etc.).
Proper logging of time on router operations (through scanners and input stations) at all times to ensure proper costing is assigned to each job.
Ensure daily production activities assigned by supervisor are achieved.
Assure adherence to all company safety policies and improve safety performance (i.e. JSA's).
Generate process improvement ideas with supervisor to improve efficiency of department.
Help keep your work area clean and maintain 6S principles in daily activities.
Ensure to maintain awareness of the Quality Management System, its documentation, and awareness of the employee's role in supporting the Quality Policy.
Ensure all required reports and records are completed and maintained for the work performed. (i.e. Quality Plans, ITPs, router, inspection reports, etc.)
Always dress appropriately for the job.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated ability to use various types of inspection tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers, gauges, etc.).
Conceptual and application understanding of seal configuration and sizing with use of service and parts manuals.
Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings, schematics, and Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
General hand tool usage (must have tools).
Be able to understand and comprehend quality system procedures, work instructions, and process mapping.
Understand ISO 9001 standard requirements
Understand API Q1 standard requirements.
Demonstrated ability in Hydraulic tool usage.
Demonstrated ability in Torque wrench usage.
Mechanically inclined.
Demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to read and write English.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years' experience in cylinder manufacturing (repair or new manufacturing)

Position Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repairing of devices, equipment, and software used in system automation and monitoring, such as the AMI and Electric Outage Management System;
Responsible for maintaining and updating Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the city's public utilities department, including installing and maintaining hardware and software, including designing and building GUI;
Coordinates with IT to schedule maintenance of central computers that monitor the water, wastewater, electric, and gas systems of the city;
Installs and maintains remote terminal units (RTUs) which communicate with central computers;
Monitors critical utility data such as water levels, flow rates, gas pressure, voltages, power factor, and amps, and creates related reports and charts;

Troubleshoots utility software problems, including discussing problems with software company as needed; Compile data and analyze reports to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all outage management operations;
Ensures connectivity between OMS, AMI, GIS, and SCADA servers;
Work closely with the IT and GIS Specialist on the implementation of new features, updates, and upgrades of OMS and AMI systems with other systems such as but not limited to SCADA and GIS;
Works closely with the IT department to ensure utility technology complies with cybersecurity protocols and initiatives to protect the utility technology systems;
Update Maps and utilize GIS data to ensure the accuracy of the metering system and electric outage information;
Provides internal user support, including assistance with end users' mobile devices using OMS;
Provides training to internal personnel on the use of outage management applications;
Maintains knowledge of system automation and monitoring and related equipment and software;
Assist with acquiring GPS field data using a Trimble or like unit, to include exporting GPS data of City assets into different formats for use in design and mapping; and
Responds to after-hour calls related to SCADA issues as needed.
