The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of project equipment related to any operational solar farms or rooftop projects. The successful candidate will have strong electrical/ mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting techniques, and organizational skills to drive and achieve project uptime and production targets of projects and must be capable of working independently or within a team environment. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot daily project system issues to meet uptime goals. Understand hourly production output targets and if there is any danger of not meeting them, execute a plan for correction or elevation of the situation. Follow maintenance schedules and perform routine maintenance (PMs, start-up tests, etc.) on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed before elevating the problems to Operations & Maintenance Manager. Identify potential problems and suggest changes or corrective actions. Work with other members of the maintenance team, sub-contractors and other groups to continuously improve system performance, drive product quality and maintenance cost improvement. Communicate cross-functionally across all necessary parts of the organization to achieve resolution to plant issues. Ensure CMMS work orders are complete in their entirety. Prepare documents necessary for procurement and utilization of materials and vendor services. Diagnose and troubleshoot various project systems issues such as inverters, switchgear, transformers, breakers, communications equipment, etc. Provide operation, maintenance and troubleshooting training to operators and others as needed. Assist in developing standard operating documents for maintenance, operations and training. Assist with project commissioning and testing providing knowledge expertise. Attend and participate in all assigned trainings in safety, environmental, and other areas as assigned. Oversee and Supervise sub-contractors. Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies. Conduct other duties as required. Requirements: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in field work; renewable energy (Solar, wind or similar) environment is an asset. Proven experience directly managing and leading crews NABCEP Certification is a plus. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing various types of electrical machinery and equipment. This is a mid-level position responsible for leading the maintenance team and ensuring optimal performance of all plant equipment and systems. As a Supervisor the incumbent will direct work functions, scheduling, prioritizing work orders, populating backlog, and keeping a daily log of events, including disciplinary action. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Supervise, coach, and provide guidance to maintenance staff across all shifts. Ensure work orders are properly linked to required parts, labor, and equipment. Capital Projects & Contractor Oversight Plan and manage capital improvement projects including equipment upgrades and installations. Oversee external contractors for repair, maintenance, and installation projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance. Coordinate closely with engineering and production to align on project goals and execution plans. Technical Maintenance & Repairs Perform and/or supervise emergency and scheduled maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building systems. Troubleshoot issues using instrumentation, control panels, and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and calibrations on pumps, valves, heat exchangers, compressors, and other key equipment. Move, adjust, and calibrate control systems to maintain process variables including temperature, flow, pressure, and vacuum. Routinely inspect equipment to identify leaks, wear, damage, or other maintenance needs. Safety & Compliance Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, NFPA, local and federal safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety; lead safety audits and risk assessments as needed.
