This role troubleshoots and maintains industrial manufacturing facilities equipment as well as the outdoor grounds of the facility. Position Responsibilities The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position: Handle industrial electrical issues including changing light bulbs and working with 208, 277, 480-volt, 3 phase and 120-volt, single phase equipment. The Service Technician - SBE is responsible for repairing and reconditioning equipment in the profit center and/or customer locations. Responsible for installation of equipment for customer accounts and is responsible for diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems and takes corrective action. Provides customer assistance in resolving customer questions, problems, or complaints regarding equipment. Job Responsibilities ? Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. Maintain a service van and its inventory. Process paperwork after completion of each job. Minimum Qualifications Less than 2 years related experience High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks. Preferred Qualifications Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills. Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred. Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.
