MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance. Manages day to day operation of the County sign shop. Fabricates and installs road signs or any other signs deemed necessary by the County. Knowledgeable in State and County compliance and standards. If signs are damaged or destroyed this position must be prepared to make and reinstall these immediately. Coordinates with the State Highway Department on bridge signing (i.e. weight limits, hazard notifications, etc.) Reads, interprets, and keeps current on all state laws pertaining to signs and sign installation. Keeps an updated database inventory of assigned roads as named and color of signs (green-county road, blue-limited public access, white-private drive) Makes sound decisions on the serviceability of installed signs.
