Participate in design reviews of plant expansions or process changes, and serve as a technical point of contact or user representative for contract services
Evaluate spare parts needed and assist in maintaining an adequate inventory for all plant and manufacturing equipment.
Keep all plant systems and manufacturing equipment operating efficiently and well maintained.
Operate, monitor, calibrate and maintain equipment and systems used to support operations.
Complete emergency repairs in a high quality, timely manner to minimize downtime.
Complete PM records, equipment logs and other forms to document work activities.
Maintain assigned areas neat and orderly and in compliance with SOPs and cGMPs.
Write and revise SOPs and Forms to maintain up to date and accurate records.
Specific activities include working with all personnel to identify and determine solutions for maintenance in the manufacturing, laboratory, and office areas. This includes following and revising procedures, forms, routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and instrument calibration.
This person will assist with emergency repairs, spare parts identification, and will have technical input for new equipment purchases and plant expansion activities.

Responsibilities:

Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment with in planned time tolerances to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet

Perform FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state and local legal and regulatory agencies. (Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies)

Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment

Address all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely, and efficiently

Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including but not limited to engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including regeneration systems), intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems

**Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Observes machines and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions.

+ Adjusts functional parts of machine devices and control instruments, which includes change-over to new sizes and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality in supporting all manufacturing needs.

**Knowledge and Critical Skill Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

We're seeking an industrial maintenance mechanic to support a busy manufacturing facility on 2nd shift. Must enjoy troubleshooting, working independently and have strong technical skills. This person may specialize in one or more of the following areas but should have general knowledge in all: mechanical, electrical, electronics, HVAC, and hydraulics.
What You'll Be Doing:
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining buildings, machinery, and mechanical equipment for our metal-forming manufacturing facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.
Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance by starting devices to test their performance, observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble, dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairing and replacing defective parts and may install special functional and structural parts.
Lubricate and clean parts and equipment and repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers' specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
Examine form and texture to parts to detect imperfections, inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Apply basic electrical knowledge to test electrical equipment to determine causes for malfunction such as motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals.
Complete training on new and existing equipment and uses applicable reference material and at the direction of the supervisor may be required to use specialized reference material.
Schedule: Typical schedule will be Friday to Sunday 5AM-5PM for Weekend Day Shift. Weekend Night Shift is 5PM-5AM. Eligible for Weekend shift premium of $3/hour for day shift and $4.50/hour for weekend night shift. Training may occur on 1st shift during the weekdays.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
