The tooling technician's main role will be to perform maintenance on production tooling. This will include inspecting the diameter of bushings and replacing, if necessary, mold buffing/taping, mold repair (metal and composite), and replacing casters. Recommends and secures approval of major capital expense items initiating bidding process with vendors and upon approval, awarding bids. * Fosters smoothly running services through timely and effective resolution of disruptions. Ensures that all facility maintenance activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and governmental regulations and laws. * Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifies, recommends and implements changes, expansions and additions. * Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with legal codes and regulations. Stays current on knowledge of technology and state and federal regulations. * Performs other related duties as required and directed. #LI-MNM Qualifications: Required: * High school diploma or GED. * Two years of college level course work in business, management, engineering, or a related field. * Four years of increasingly responsible facility maintenance experience including some lead supervisory experience. * Valid state driver's license. * Driving record must be within the approved insurance company's regulations. Preferred: * Associates degree in engineering * High Pressure Boiler Operators License.
