Job purpose
We are looking for a Shop Service Technician to Join our growing team and help drive our customer service goals and objectives in the Field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Field Heavy Equipment service and support, have a commitment to Safety and desire to provide first class customer service.
Duties and responsibilities
* Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Maintains a clean, organized work are free from Safety issues and concerns.
* Utilizes a variety of techniques and tools to inspect, assess, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions on a variety of heavy equipment applications
* Maintains accurate reports and information on equipment and repairs to ensure accurate billing and service logs.
* Overhauls and tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency
* Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications
* Brings to the attention of the shop manager any additional work required on unit or visible signs of damage including out of service conditions and safety hazards.
* Cleans, lubricates, and performs preventative maintenance work on equipment and vehicles as required
* Keeps abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributors to maintain and upgrade technical competencies and knowledge through in-house and external training sources.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* High School diploma and graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not required.
* Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic required.
* Must have own tools.
* Volvo and/or other dealership or industry experience preferred.
* Skill in the use of a variety of diagnostic testing and tuning equipment.
* Working experience with computer systems and maintenance software preferred
* Advanced technical software application understanding with relevant industry experience highly desired.
* Strong organizational and customer service skills to ensure high level customer service
* Ability to work overtime when required
* Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, push, climb, move, reach and work overhead, lift up to 60 lbs. and work in all weather conditions
Working conditions
The employee will generally be working in an field/shop environment. The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Upon completion of this program, the individual will be eligible to apply for any available Electrical Lift MaintenanceTechnician positions. While engaging in this program, Service Members will continue to receive their entire military compensation package as if they were still serving.
In this program, individuals will gain a fundamental understanding of electrical lift maintenance principles, understand and interpret electrical schematics, and utilize programming software and the filing system efficiently. You will learn grasp wiring and circuit fundamentals, demonstrating proficiency in electrical terminology, and understanding and applying ANSI code standards.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience with installation and maintenance of AC and DC drives and PLC controls (Allen Bradley and ABB).
Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting complex control & safety circuits.
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
Ability to work in inclement weather in a mountainous environment at heights in excess of 20 feet.
Authorized to work in the United States of America.
Proficient in the English language.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed as a journeymen or master electrician.
Third or fourth year electrical apprentice.

The candidate will perform service and repair work, customer support visits, and assist the sales department attending shows, demos, and events when needed to promote all Prinoth Products
· Perform service and repair work on PRINOTH machines throughout
· Troubleshoot all assigned vehicle/equipment systems electrical, mechanical and hydraulic
· Troubleshoot all assigned vehicles/equipment systems in Prinoth snow groomers and occasionally utility machines.
· Ensure work order accuracy and completion for jobs assigned, fill out work order paperwork, such as warranty claims, time sheets, service reports.
· Perform welding/fabrication jobs when needed
· Provide information to product support team and factory engineering team when needed
· Develop and maintain harmonious business relationships with customers
· Handle customers technical service calls during the season, assist with phone triage of service needs for the territory
· Lead customer partnership team activities to identify and address customer issues (product quality, technical, etc.)
· Upsell parts and service in the assigned territory
· Participate in industry conferences and exhibitions
· Help to structure and perform product demos during winter months
· Inform any sales lead to the regional manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Mechanical degree preferred (High School, Technical School or College)
· 5+ years of experience in a related field
· Technical problems solving and troubleshooting skills
· Strong mechanical skills with Heavy Equipment. I.E Hydraulics, electrical, etc.
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
· Good computer skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is essential
· Ability and willingness to work extra hours during the week, weekends, and occasional winter holidays. Potentially long hours on the road, and nights on the road traveling
· Valid driver's license
