Monitor and review the plant, specifically various aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance. Document and Record Information. Enter and maintain service and lubrication reports for the plant equipment used to ensure up-to-date preventative maintenance. Perform General Physical Activities. Perform a variety of tasks that assist with the operation of the plant, including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. REASONING ABILITY The Employee shall be able to isolate mechanical, including (pneumatic/hydraulic), and basic electrical problems and repair them within a reasonable amount of time. PHYSICAL DEMANDS At times occasional lifting / carrying up to 25 pounds required with more frequent lifting/carrying of 1-20 pounds. The job requires reaching below waist and knee, and at waist level, kneeling, squatting, and climbing stairs on rare occasions. More frequent hand/wrist work, keyboarding and mousing, power grasping, and pushing/pulling materials. More frequent walking left and right-hand work and simple grasping and constantly standing on feet for extended periods of time. WORK ENVIRONMENT The Employee must wear protective eyewear and earplugs when using compressed air, use of power tools, and during many maintenance functions. The majority of the work will be inside the plant with some outside work, as well as on the roof, and in the ceiling inside the plant. The plant is chilly in the winter, and hot in the summer. The plant is generally clean of debris and clutter, but the manufacturing process generates a fair amount of corrugated dust. There are no hazardous materials inherent in the manufacturing process.
