Key Responsibilities
•Performs a wide range of complex tasks involving electrical, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication of repair parts necessary to keep our equipment and process operating optimally. This is a multi-craft role requiring the ability to learn and stay current with the technical needs of our equipment/plant.
•Troubleshoots and repairs various pieces of equipment using several diagnostic skills/tools (ladder logic, volt meters, etc.).
•Performs preventive maintenance tasks ranging from lubricating wear points to changing out blades.
•Tears down and reassembles equipment in support of our food safety initiatives.
•Supports and provides training to other IMTs, Machine Operators and Production Associates in the proper running and completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
•Interprets specifications, blueprints, schematics, and work orders in performing duties.
•Suggests changes in processes to increase equipment uptime (reliability) while ensuring it is operating at optimal levels. Is committed to continuous improvement.
•Acts in a manner that is consistent with Butterball's core values. Must be able to work in both teams and on an individual basis in performing this role. Must be self-directed and focused on utilizing time efficiently.
•Utilizes and adheres to various company policies to include safety and food safety regulations.
•Accurately tracks work assignments (time), accounts for parts and completes required paperwork.
•Acts as backfill in operating production equipment on an as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)
•2 years of previous experience working in at least one maintenance discipline

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
•Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
•Work assignments may range across the entirety of the plant complex, including non-refrigerated and refrigerated areas, with temperatures that range from -20 degrees Fahrenheit to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit.
•Position requires working around processing plant equipment.
•Must wear the required PPE to include steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hardhat, safety vest, gloves, and hearing protection.
•The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
•May work with raw and/or cooked meat.

Job Summary:
A maintenance mechanic is responsible for the entire operating facility, repairs, and preventative maintenance, as well as special projects. In addition, the maintenance mechanic is responsible for maintaining all heavy equipment in the facility including balers, sort line, loaders, and forklifts. This will include regularly scheduled PM as well as minor repairs on all facility equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Learns Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) for the machinery- use this every time you work on or in or around that machinery;
Performs regular inspections of all equipment at a facility, including building, sort line, baler and rolling stock. Daily review of the Daily Equipment Inspection Form;
Performs basic preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment and trouble shoot potential problems. Ability to make repairs;
Performs some MIG welding and fabrication;
Participates in plant morning meetings and brings problems, issues, and observations up with the plant manager and/or maintenance manager;
Ensures the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while conducting work functions;
Maintains a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted;
Efficiently manages time and completion of all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority;
Ability to obtain quotes and place orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same;
Ensures operators complete pre-run inspections, PM, and services and review them, store files in designated folder on-site and document on internal system;
Reports any existing damage and immediate repairs to the Maintenance Manager;
Ability to use, maintain, and handle all repair and testing tools and equipment;
Responsible for prevented maintenance on all vehicles, equipment, & machinery;
Ability to show up on time with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tools including radio;
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic understanding, troubleshooting and experience with Mechanical Systems (gears, pulleys, chains, belts, shafts, industrial gear boxes, water pumps, air compressors, HVAC experience;
Basic understanding, troubleshooting and experience with Electrical Systems (AC circuits-motors and drives, DC circuits-motors and drives, 480 Volts 3 phase, transformers, control power, relays);
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Summary/Objective:
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, install and remove equipment.
Essential Functions:
Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices
Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)
Repair broken or faulty machine parts
Perform emergency repairs
Align and calibrate machine parts
Follow safety rules and regulations
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Repairing devices
Installing complex mechanical systems
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations
Install valves, couplings, and other fittings
Cut, grind, disassembles, remove and install pipe work.
Assists maintenance in a variety of tasks; to include changing hubs and rollers
Assists fire watch and whole watch
Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility: No
Required:
1 year of experience in industrial maintenance/mechanical work; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
Must be able to follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties
Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedules
The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:
Work Environment:
May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness
May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels
May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust
May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights
Physical Demands:
This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools
Must be clean shaved to wear a half mask, filtered respirator
While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
Travel:
May require travel (typically not overnight)
Preferred:
Prior military experience

Job Description
Tomorrow RDS, LLC is a well-established company whose core business is recycling, processing, and marketing of materials. RDS operates five different facilities across three different states, servicing the recycling needs of thousands of companies and households. RDS is committed to recovering as much material as possible from the waste stream for both the short and long term health of our environment.
Job Summary:
A maintenance mechanic is responsible for the entire operating facility, repairs, and preventative maintenance, as well as special projects. In addition, the maintenance mechanic is responsible for maintaining all heavy equipment in the facility including balers, sort line, loaders, and forklifts. This will include regularly scheduled PM as well as minor repairs on all facility equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Learns Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) for the machinery- use this every time you work on or in or around that machinery;
Performs regular inspections of all equipment at a facility, including building, sort line, baler and rolling stock. Daily review of the Daily Equipment Inspection Form;
Performs basic preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment and trouble shoot potential problems. Ability to make repairs;
Performs some MIG welding and fabrication;
Participates in plant morning meetings and brings problems, issues, and observations up with the plant manager and/or maintenance manager;
Ensures the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while conducting work functions;
Maintains a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted;
Efficiently manages time and completion of all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority;
Ability to obtain quotes and place orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same;
Ensures operators complete pre-run inspections, PM, and services and review them, store files in designated folder on-site and document on internal system;
Reports any existing damage and immediate repairs to the Maintenance Manager;
Ability to use, maintain, and handle all repair and testing tools and equipment;
Responsible for prevented maintenance on all vehicles, equipment, & machinery;
Ability to show up on time with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tools including radio;
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic understanding, troubleshooting and experience with Mechanical Systems (gears, pulleys, chains, belts, shafts, industrial gear boxes, water pumps, air compressors, HVAC experience;
Basic understanding, troubleshooting and experience with Electrical Systems (AC circuits-motors and drives, DC circuits-motors and drives, 480 Volts 3 phase, transformers, control power, relays);
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Works well as a team member & is not afraid to ask for help or questions;
Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs using testing and repair all equipment as needed;
Ability to MIG weld and do light / medium fabrication;
Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines while working independently;
Ability to operate a computer for small tasks like sending emails, reporting issues and concerns;
Ability to adhere to company policies and rules set forth;
Promotes the Company's safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work location;
Ability to maintain a reliable attendance record.
Education and Qualifications:
High school degree or GED equivalent for an accredited institution;
Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or any other discipline with 5+ (preferred);
ASE Certification (preferred).
Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week). Hourly. Non-Exempt.
Physical Requirements:
Must successfully pass a drug/alcohol screening, and physical ability test;
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant operations;
Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping;
Must be able to lift up to 45+ pounds at times.
