The Electromechanical Technician / Automation Specialist is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the electrical and mechanical systems that power our manufacturing operations. This role blends maintenance expertise with a strong focus on automation, PLC work, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement projects. You will be the go-to expert for diagnosing electrical issues, supporting equipment installations, and helping Forza advance toward a more automated and reliable operation. Key Responsibilities Electrical & PLC Troubleshooting Diagnose, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Troubleshoot electrical motors, drives, relays, sensors, and control circuits. Program, adjust, or modify PLC logic when necessary (minor programming, I/O changes, fault identification). Perform electrical work including wiring, electrical runs, conduit, panel work, power distribution, and device installs. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant. This may consist of inspecting, greasing, cleaning or repairing production equipment to insure uninterrupted production capability. Operate appropriate hand and power tools for performing maintenance: Efficiently use wrenches, pliers, socket sets, screwdrivers, punches, hammer, and other hand tools. For example, sprockets for conveyor or belt size and length needed for conveyor. Must be able to look up parts in machine manuals and identify what is needed for the repair. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times, including an organized parts room. Maintenance personnel will be designated a workbench with tools and will be responsible for the work area and the tools. Leaving tools or debris lying around is unacceptable. Perform maintenance task using appropriate safety equipment and safety procedures (i.e.: lockout tag out, guarding, confined space, use of respirators and fall protection).
