About the role A Packsize Machine Technician will install, configure and maintain Packsize equipment solutions onsite at a designated customer's facilities. They must be a creative problem solver with the ability to identify, analyze, maintain and repair complex mechanical equipment and answer difficult customer questions about product features. A Machine Technician will perform start-up testing and deliver customer training on product capabilities, features and general maintenance of the product. They will build and maintain a strong, trust-based customer relationship with their assigned customer(s) and will work closely with other supporting Packsize team members to provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do Scheduling tasks at a customer's job sites Troubleshooting issues, quickly and effectively, using technical drawings and documentation Work cross-functionally with R&D, Software and Quality Engineering teams Performing routine maintenance and emergency services as they arise Analyze customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to identify new or ongoing machine performance issues resulting in problem-solving and machine maintenance Continuous learning, including the customer's operational processes, packaging designs, technical specifications Installation of Packsize solutions and training others to use and maintain it Basic clerical and administrative duties, including timely reading and responding to emails, preparing and submitting expense reports, making travel arrangements, writing detailed technical reports, etc. Responsively and productively communicate information and ideas with Packsize and customer's personnel so they will understand. This person reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the efficient use of labor and all other resources. In order to fulfill responsibilities in the most effective manner, the Maintenance Supervisor is charged with developing the plant maintenance technicians into a well-trained, committed and spirited "maintenance team." ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Provides supervision of maintenance technicians to prioritize and ensure process equipment and facilities systems are operational to support business requirements. * Directs and control the activities of the maintenance technicians to ensure that activities performed are completed properly, in a timely manner, in accordance with production schedules, and that adequate follow up has been conducted with operations leadership. * Ensures preventive maintenance program is followed by reviewing PM Reports and schedules to ensure all machinery and equipment are at operational standards. * Leads and teaches root cause analysis and corrective action procedures to prevent future equipment breakdown. * Drives individuals and team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals through proactive maintenance activities. * Manages outside contractors, technicians and vendors. * Ensures awareness of employee behavior toward safety practices and enforces safety policy and procedures. * Maintains company and product reputation by complying with OSHA, all federal regulatory and corporate demands and local safety programs. * Maintains a safe, clean and hazard free work environment for maintenance associates, visitors and production personnel with good 6S activities and by attending or conducting classes on OSHA programs such as lock out-tag out and SDS training. * Conducts shift start up meetings that foster communication/feedback from the technicians. * Asks questions; encourage input from team members to solve problems. * Participates in industry and management training programs to enhance knowledge of the industry. * Identifies individual and team strengths and development needs to create long range training plans. * Maintains a constant sense of urgency and employee moral throughout the company. * Establishes and maintains a positive operating or "can do" philosophy/attitude regarding employee relations and internal operations. * Supports product development and improvement by specifying equipment needs and modifications with the appropriate manager and coordinating the efforts of the maintenance technicians that are working on these machines or equipment. * Recommends staffing and organizational structure in the development of the departmental budget. * Performs any duties that may be assigned by the department manager and/or those that are logically and properly inherent to this position. * Perform other duties as assigned. Our Dyersburg facility needs a Barge Facility Tech to help manage grain loading, maintenance, and barge logistics in a fast-paced environment. This job is primarily responsible for working at a facility that loads and unloads barges and trucks. This is a general laborer position that performs a wide variety of duties that are based on the daily needs of the operation; may include cleaning and repair of barges. In this job, you will: Actual responsibilities will vary depending on daily needs and type of facility. Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attends daily pre-shift meetings. Perform all duties within compliance of OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations (ISO where applicable); including wearing appropriate PPE for task being performed. Perform deckhand responsibilities e.g., reading drafts, opening/closing lids, tying off barges, etc. Perform all barge loading duties e.g., loading barges to meet draft and quality requirements and oversees deckhand(s). Note: Generally the duty of the most highly qualified person(s). Perform duties to transfer, load and move grain to appropriate location, where applicable. Perform duties required to maintain grain quality while being stored and/or transferred. Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly. Perform general clean-up including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting and other general housekeeping responsibilities. Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs, where applicable. Dependent on facility and location, may be responsible for any variety of the following; unloading barges, cleaning barges, movement of product to storage, loading of trucks using heavy equipment, loading of rail, loading of products to required specifications; operating, running, monitoring, and shutting down dryer; operating a variety of heavy equipment.
