They are skilled in mechanical systems, including gears, belts, bearings, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
Inspect and test machinery parts to identify defects or malfunctions.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Requirements:
Completion of a recognized millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
Journeyman certification as a Millwright. (Preferred)
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to industrial machinery.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and climbing.

Under the general direction of and reporting to the Service Manager, the Generator Service Technician is responsible for maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

Perform various types and levels of maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems ranging from 5-5000kw. Troubleshooting and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches, to include bypass isolation, and closed transition types as well. Repairs will include performing preventative maintenance service (oil and filters), troubleshooting AC and DC circuits, removing and replacing any and all components as necessary, performing warranty work per manufacturer's guidelines, performing startup/commissioning on new generators and generator systems.
Perform diesel or gaseous engine troubleshooting and repair to include but not limited to ignition components, injection systems, valve adjustments etc.
Perform load bank testing on generator(s) to ensure units are in the proper operating conditions and meet applicable code requirements.
Assist other technicians with large multi-person jobs or troubleshooting complicated issues.
Education and Experience:
HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred
US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician's Mate, or Generator and/or UPS field service technician preferred
Skills and Other Qualifications:

Responsibilities

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:

JOB MISSION:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, perform electrical maintenance on buildings and equipment. Plan and design electrical work in conjunction with any NB construction projects. Repair manufacturing machinery and other electrical systems.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform electrical preventive maintenance of NB facility and equipment on systems up to 480 volts in. Travel to other NB locations as needed to assist with repairs or installations.

Your role
The Maintenance Technician in the Plastics area is responsible for providing mechanical and technical troubleshooting support. This role performs maintenance on production machinery to reduce equipment downtime and meet production schedules.
