Schedule: Sunday -Thursday Third Shift ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.). Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards. Mentor other maintenance shop personnel. Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action. Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines. Qualification, education, and experience requirements: 2 years' mechanical experience Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: Medical, psychological, background and substance abuse screening(s).
