The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure equipment and facility assets operate safely, reliably, and efficiently, while minimizing operational disruptions and associated costs. This role ensures safe work practices during installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant systems and equipment. The position oversees preventive and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation, HVAC, plumbing, structural systems, production machinery, boilers, and industrial refrigeration systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure plant equipment is maintained in optimal operating condition to minimize production downtime and cost. Respond promptly to equipment-related production issues by assigning and prioritizing repair work. Develop, manage, and maintain critical spare parts and maintenance inventory programs. Ensure timely completion and proper documentation of work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Approve parts and materials purchases within established budgets and authorization limits. Continuously evaluate maintenance effectiveness and collaborate with production teams to identify improvement and optimization opportunities. Coordinate equipment and facility maintenance activities across departments. Provide after-hours maintenance support by coordinating on-call resources and responding directly to critical or complex issues when required. Maintain maintenance storage and work areas in a clean, safe, and secure condition. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives while meeting efficiency and cost objectives. Provide guidance, technical support, and training to ensure safe work practices and compliance with food safety and quality programs. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all applicable quality and food safety standards. Perform supervisory responsibilities including hiring recommendations, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, coaching, discipline, safety training, and employee development. Ensure maintenance staff have proper tools, equipment, and parts in safe working condition. Promote a team-oriented environment through leadership, communication, and collaboration. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical knowledge gained through experience.
