Job Description Seeking a skilled maintenance technician with electrical training and experience for our Shelbyville, KY locations. Should be a strong trouble-shooter and ability to support and work with various teams. What You'll Be Doing: Repairs and maintains buildings, machinery, and mechanical equipment, to include performing electrical functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned. Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers' specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments. Repairs and replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts. May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Completes training on new and existing equipment. May specialize in one or more of the following areas but would not be required to have specialized knowledge in all areas: mechanical, electrical, electronics, HVAC, and hydraulics.
