We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to become part of our Equipment team in Huntsville, Alabama. This position will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of diverse machinery. This position is vital for reducing operational interruptions and guaranteeing the proper and secure functioning of all equipment. Description Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or other technical equipment issues. Determine the root cause of problems and implement effective corrective actions. Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to perform routine checks and tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions to minimize downtime and disruptions to production. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during maintenance activities to protect yourself, colleagues, and the manufacturing environment. Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, equipment maintenance history, and inventory levels.Report inventory needs to the maintenance supervisor or administrator. Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accurate performance and compliance with specifications. Assist in the installation, set-up and commissioning of new equipment or machinery. Suggest and implement improvements to equipment and maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency and reliability. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and stay updated on new technologies and maintenance practices. Requirements Highschool diploma or GHED minimum with training and experience in technical field. Experience 0-8 years Hands-on troubleshooting of production equipment. Participation in OEE improvement activities. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems commonly found in manufacturing equipment. This includes hydraulics, pneumatics, motor sensors, PLCs, and other industrial controls. Adept at troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently. Compliance with company policies, safety rules, and regulations. Detail-oriented to document maintenance tasks, equipment condition, repair records, and parts usage accurately.
