About the Role:
The Industrial MaintenanceTechnician is responsible for maintaining facility equipment and ensuring the operational reliability of mechanical, electrical, and water systems throughout the plant. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, and a commitment to high safety and housekeeping standards. The technician will perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and support continuous plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks as required.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and equipment repair needs.
Conduct shift rounds at least twice per shift to inspect compressors, chillers, pumps, extrusion equipment, material transfer systems, and other critical systems.
Identify and report equipment problems, leaks, or deficiencies; take corrective action as necessary.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks including lubrication, filter changes, oil changes, motor/pump replacements, plumbing repairs, and cleaning.

Basic knowledge of facility layouts including compressed air systems, chilled water, recycled and city water systems, electrical distribution, bus bars, and primary breakers.

Responsibilities:
Assembly and manufacture of product, in accordance with quality system requirements, manufacturing procedures, and manufacturing instructions.

A Day in This Role
You arrive to a clean, well-equipped weld bay. The job traveler and sample part tell the story of the component in your hands-an aerospace-grade assembly destined for commercial aircraft today and a defense application tomorrow. You verify dimensions and tolerances from sketches, routings, and process control sheets, set up your station, confirm backup gas requirements, and dial in parameters for manual GTAW/TIG on similar and dissimilar alloys. As you run, you interpret welding symbols (AWS A2.4) with ease and apply terminology from AWS A3.0, adjusting technique as the puddle and heat input demand. Each weldment gets a careful visual inspection. If an indication appears, you repair, document, and report it without hesitation.
What You'll Work On
Manual Gas Tungsten Arc Welding on a diversified line of standard parts used across aviation, defense vehicles, power generation systems, and spacecraft.
Independent setup, positioning, and execution of GTAW on stainless, nickel, and cobalt alloys-including 17-4PH, Inconel 718, and Haynes 188.
Application of parameter control and knowledge of equipment features and shielding/backup gas requirements to achieve consistent, high-spec results.
Contribution to developing and revising written work instructions governing GTAW operations.
Thorough visual inspection, indication identification, repair, and defect reporting.
Credentials That Help You Succeed
Certification to groove and fillet weld on 0.020” and 0.064” material (stainless steel, nickel alloy, cobalt alloy) to AWS D17.1 Class A.
Comfort with welding symbols, terms, and definitions per AWS A2.4 and AWS A3.0.
High school diploma or GED plus at least two years of relevant experience/training, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.

Primary Role and Responsibilities
