Position Purpose: Seasonal Laborers maintain City of Manhattan grounds and facilities by performing various maintenance duties. This includes but is not limited to, assisting in general equipment maintenance, adhering to maintenance schedules, checking oil levels, changing/sharpening blades, lubricating equipment, and performing safety inspections. Maintains records, maintenance logs, and activity records via the use of mobile and stationary electronic devices such as computers, tablets, etc. • Communicates orally and in writing, including using the telephone and two-way radio. Represents the City of Manhattan professionally and courteously with the public and other City employees. Assists supervisors and other departmental personnel in other projects for the benefit of the City and/or department. Comprehends and learns standardized work procedures and practices. The Krusteaz Company is looking for a Second Shift Maintenance Technician to join the Manhattan team! The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set to identify and resolve causes of mechanical downtime and identify opportunities for improvement in the production process. The strongest candidates will possess electrical, mechanical and PLC aptitudes. Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time. Supporting production by bringing equipment to base condition through a variety of Industrial Maintenance functions. The technician will also interpret blueprints, fabricate metal, perform plumbing, pneumatic and millwright activities and display an understanding of motors and drives. Collaborating with production staff to enhance the reliability of production equipment, and completion of repair tasks in a manner that minimizes reactive downtime. Duties will also include problem solving and troubleshooting, operating computerized systems, maintenance software and hand-held devices, attending meetings and completing paperwork. Responsible for repairs, maintenance of the facility as to come within compliance with outside agency audits (AIB, BRC, OSHA, etc.) Performs grounds maintenance, as necessary. Displays an understanding of working with electrical and electronic components such as wiring, relays, sensors, human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and PLCs. Displays an understanding of AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drives, and the ability to safely troubleshoot circuits of varying voltage (110/120, 220, 480). Supports maintenance of all packaging/processing equipment in the plant. Works with associates on the packaging and processing lines to assure equipment is operating efficiently and they come into compliance with sanitation, HACCP, and HSE standards. Technical Duties: Follows GMP's and responsible for reporting any food safety concerns to management. Responsible to follow compliance issues and documentation of OSHA, RTK, FDA, Sanitation, HACCP, and all H/S/E programs. Use a PC for communication, parts research, and maintenance system purposes which includes purchasing parts as needed. Demonstrate strong mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting skills. Full-time Description American Phoenix Pre-weighed Chemical Packaging division operates from five strategic locations: Topeka Kansas, Lawton Oklahoma, Fayetteville North Carolina and Danville Virginia. Initiated in 2004, American Phoenix designed, built and maintains it proprietary chemical weighing and packaging equipment. Pre-weigh services are utilized by large manufacturing companies requiring precisely weighed chemicals for use in rubber mixing. We provide both product reliability and economic value to a critical component of rubber mixing that makes your process more efficient. SUMMARY: Getting correct pre-weigh to customer in a timely manner. Not strictly driving truck, but also help with the shipping department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
