KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Purpose:
Seasonal Laborers maintain City of Manhattan grounds and facilities by performing various maintenance duties.
Job Duties
Assists with general labor duties related to grounds maintenance and equipment maintenance such as mowing, painting, weed eating, janitorial duties, light brush and tree trimming, and other miscellaneous tasks assigned.
Performs proper horticultural practices including irrigation, fertilization, weed control, planting and pruning.

Collaborating with production staff to enhance the reliability of production equipment, and completion of repair tasks in a manner that minimizes reactive downtime.
Duties will also include problem solving and troubleshooting, operating computerized systems, maintenance software and hand-held devices, attending meetings and completing paperwork.
Responsible for repairs, maintenance of the facility as to come within compliance with outside agency audits (AIB, BRC, OSHA, etc.)
Performs grounds maintenance, as necessary.
Displays an understanding of working with electrical and electronic components such as wiring, relays, sensors, human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and PLCs.
Displays an understanding of AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drives, and the ability to safely troubleshoot circuits of varying voltage (110/120, 220, 480).
Supports maintenance of all packaging/processing equipment in the plant. Works with associates on the packaging and processing lines to assure equipment is operating efficiently and they come into compliance with sanitation, HACCP, and HSE standards.
Technical Duties:
Follows GMP's and responsible for reporting any food safety concerns to management.
Responsible to follow compliance issues and documentation of OSHA, RTK, FDA, Sanitation, HACCP, and all H/S/E programs.
Use a PC for communication, parts research, and maintenance system purposes which includes purchasing parts as needed.
Demonstrate strong mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting skills.
Follow specific maintenance procedures concerning PM's, schedules, and documentation requirements.

Climb ladders and lift/push/pull using proper techniques up to 50 pounds.
