Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment to minimize downtime. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on machinery. Conduct facility inspections to identify potential safety or operational hazards and take corrective action. Support accident and incident investigations by providing documentation and technical insight as required. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including reading and interpreting basic electrical schematics. Perform fabrication, welding (MIG, TIG, and Stick), and light construction as needed. Install, relocate, and rig machinery or fixtures safely and efficiently. Assist with facility upkeep, including painting, carpentry, filter changes, and general repairs. Recommend equipment modifications, upgrades, or process improvements to increase safety and performance. Operate shop machinery such as lathes, grinders, and mills. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work area. Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, including proper use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and safe lifting practices. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment troubleshooting and repair. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work safely in an active manufacturing setting. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency a plus. Proven ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks under minimal supervision. Preferred Experience Experience with machine installation, rigging, and alignment. Working knowledge of electrical control systems and schematics. Facility Upkeep: Assist in the upkeep of hotel facilities, including outdoor areas, parking lots, and grounds, by maintaining equipment and addressing any issues that may arise. Perform painting, carpentry, and other repairs to maintain the hotel's aesthetic appeal and functionality. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with hotel safety, health, and environmental regulations. Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, including cleaning chemicals and waste products. Adhere to hotel safety protocols and ensure the safe operation of tools and equipment. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and parts inventory. Report any shortages or requirements for new tools or equipment to the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Manager. Assist in ordering and restocking maintenance supplies as needed. Collaboration and Communication: Communicate effectively with hotel management, front desk staff, and other departments regarding ongoing or urgent maintenance issues. Work closely with the housekeeping department to address any maintenance concerns in guest rooms or public areas. Keep accurate records of all maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections performed. Employees in this class report directly to the Gas Module Exchange Foreman who reviews work through meetings, conferences, reports, and overall results achieved.
