Maintenance technician job in Gulfport, MS
Job DescriptionIndustrial Mechanic
Pay Range: $52,000 - $58,000 annually Schedule: Full-Time Industry: Industrial / Manufacturing / Remanufacturing Startup
Why This Role Is Different
This isn't a "keep the lights on and fix the same thing every Tuesday" mechanic job.
We're a fast-growing industrial startup building real operations from the ground up. That means new equipment, evolving processes, and the opportunity to actually
make things better
instead of inheriting decades of bad fixes and duct tape solutions.
If you like being hands-on, thinking through problems, and helping shape how a plant runs - you'll feel at home here.
What You'll Be Doing
As a mid-level Industrial Mechanic, you'll be a key player in keeping production moving and improving reliability across the plant. Day-to-day includes:
Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment and machinery
Performing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
Troubleshooting mechanical issues in a production environment
Assisting with equipment installs, upgrades, and process improvements
Working closely with plant leadership and operations to support production goals
Keeping maintenance work documented and safety top-of-mind
This is a hands-on role - you'll be on the floor, not behind a desk.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone solid, dependable, and curious - not a superhero.
3-5 years of experience as an industrial or plant mechanic
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (industrial equipment preferred)
Experience in manufacturing, processing, or industrial facilities
Ability to work independently and prioritize work in a changing environment
Comfortable in a startup setting where processes are still being built
Safety-minded with attention to detail
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience with startup or fast-growth facilities
Exposure to heavy equipment, conveyors, mixers, or industrial systems
Willingness to grow into more responsibility as operations scale
What We Offer
Competitive pay: $52,000-$58,000 (based on experience)
Stable, full-time role with room to grow
Direct access to leadership - your ideas will actually be heard
A chance to help build something from the ground up
No corporate red tape, no micromanagement culture
Bottom Line
If you're a mid-level industrial mechanic who likes solving problems, staying busy, and being part of a team that's building - not babysitting - this role is worth a look.
