DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair and perform normal maintenance of production equipment such as CNC Machines and Manual Machines on the shop floor
Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
Identify and replace parts as necessary
Complete testing and make adjustments of parts as needed
Complete planned and preventative procedures
Drain and Replace coolant
Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions
Other duties assigned by Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides
Demonstrated high degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and repair abilities
Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation
Knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of High school diploma from a technical school (or GED) is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Job Summary:
The Building Maintenance Technician will complete required PMs and repairs on the client's facility equipment. This position is crossed trained and utilizes a flow to the work concept. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs preventive maintenance activities on facility following written instructions. PM activities include measurement of wear, replacement of expendables (i.e. belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection/evaluation of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration
Analyzes findings during PM and recommends changes to PM content based upon findings
Documents PM activities within the CMMS
Completes assigned work orders and documents completion within the CMMS
Completes repairs on all assigned HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other equipment
Completes general building repairs, including repair and painting of walls, doors, floors, etc
Completes repairs to plumbing system including fixing leaks and stoppages, repairs or replacement of sinks, piping, valves or drains
Repairs and maintains controls, lighting, and electrical distribution systems
Replaces lighting components, ceiling tiles, and grid throughout the buildings
Performs shift "rounds" using a checklist to document performance characteristics (i.e., operation modes, pressures, temperatures, RPM, etc.) of facility systems and equipment
Communicates directly with the customer and site lead in assuring that all aspects of a work request are understood that parts must be ordered, or that requested completion date will be delayed for any reason not discovered during the conversion of the work request into a work order
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables
Maintains building lighting, task lighting on furniture systems, parking lot lighting, lighting contactors, emergency lights/exit lights, 120-volt outlets, photoelectric eyes for exterior bldg. lighting and lighting contactors that are controlled by the energy management system
Performs PM & repairs on dock equipment - Overhead doors, dock levelers, dock locks and seals
Maintain a safe and clean work area. Demonstrate basic safe work practices based on company and customer policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five to seven years mechanical experience, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Three to five years' maintenance experience
Valid driver's license

Position Overview

* Carry out visual PM (preventive maintenance) inspections of conveyor systems, balers, automated storage components, reporting abnormalities and creating follow-up work orders in CMMS software (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
* Inspection, removal, rebuilding, setup, and installation of sortation system's carriers according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Rebuilding process includes replacement of shock absorbers, springs, wheels, door blades, drive plates and overall setup of the carriers using go-no-go gauges.
* Monitoring and troubleshooting corrugate baler machine. This work includes daily inspections, adjustments, replenishment of baler wires, cleaning, etc.
* Using hand tools, power tools and shop machinery (drill press, bench grinders, band saw) while working on various projects.
* Operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) such as scissor lifts, articulating telescopic boom lifts for work at heights (Certified for working at heights and operation of or Areal Working Platforms (AWPs)

Qualification/Requirements:
At least 18 years old.
Valid unrestricted driver's license with an excellent driving record within company standards.
The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed.
Basic math, mechanical, teamwork and troubleshooting skills are required.
Must pass fit for duty physical, drug and alcohol screening, and detailed background check
Education/Training/Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of safety, mechanical, Hazmat, equipment and/or equivalent training
Prior construction experience helpful, but not required

The work is primarily performed in the field, outdoors in the heat or cold for 8-12 hours per day. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
To reduce exposure to harmful materials, workers often wear coveralls, gloves, shoe covers, safety glasses, or goggles. Some must wear fully enclosed protective suits for several hours at a time; these suits may be hot and uncomfortable and may cause the workers who wear them to experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces). In extremely toxic cleanups, hazmat workers are required to wear respirators or personal air monitors.
